The ambiance is charming but could benefit from some modernization. The service is satisfactory, although some employees appear disinterested and exhibit hostile demeanor upon entering the establishment. The restrooms are in a state of severe disrepair, and the premises is infested with flies that persistently attack patrons. The food, unfortunately, falls short of expectations for Mexican-American cuisine. As a Hispanic individual, I had high hopes. Despite making the arduous commute from Denver, I regret not saving the fuel.
I ordered the smothered breakfast burrito, which was mediocre in terms of the burrito itself. However, the accompanying beans and green chili were exceptionally flavorless, reminiscent of a textured, spicy water. I am deeply disappointed with this meal. My wife opted for chicken tacos, and the chicken was excessively fatty and had a slimy texture. The garnishes appeared fresh. We also ordered a tamale plate as a sampling, as we are fond of tamales. Unfortunately, they only offer pork tamales, which are excessively thick and extremely dry. Furthermore, they bear a striking resemblance to Hormel tamales in a can.
Three of my children ordered cheese burgers, and they appeared satisfied with their choices. My fourth child ordered the happy face pancakes, which were exceptionally delicious.
I rate this establishment a mere two out of ten, but I acknowledge that this assessment is subjective. Having grown up with Mexican-American cuisine, this establishment falls far short of providing a genuine representation of authentic...

Read moreHave always heard good things about Romeros so my mom and I wanted to give it a try. I will not be making that mistake again. We went on a Monday and there were only about three clean tables all large group tables but we had to sit there because there were no others available. There were about 5 tables that hadn't been cleared. Our table was sticky. We waited about 15 minutes and no server or anyone came to our table and two couples walked in after us. About 5 minutes after they sat down their drink order was taken and then ours was, we received menus at that time. Another 15 minutes goes by and still had not received drinks or even put in our order. We decided to leave when the server again helped the customers who arrived after us first. Whilst we were still waiting on drinks. We left and went to Millberger (Highly suggest, in and out in 40 minutes, food was incredible. Amazing cinnamon rolls.) Will not be returning. Parking was a nightmare and service was even worse. Server did greet us upon entering so she definitely knew we were there. I understand it can get busy and maybe she was shorthanded because by the looks of it, there was only one server. Communication goes a long way as well as serving customers in the order they arrived. Normally it wouldn't bother me especially if we got there near the same time but we had been waiting a while already and still got served last. I love to eat local but this is one place I won't be...
