I really hate writing a bad review, but I think it’s so important because food is not cheap; and if you’re going to spend money on food and going out to have a nice meal, you definitely want a friendly waitress and good service. The place is comfortable. The view is amazing and very relaxing looking out at the water. However, upon entering, the waitress/Mary, which never gave her name, was standing at the counter by the register, and she couldn’t even crack a smile out of her face. That was the first red flag. We went and sat down. I absolutely do not feel welcome if an employee cannot smile. My friend and I were hungry so we stayed. My friend had gone there many years before, and told me about it and mentioned the food was good. Ok! Well to start off if you’re going to pay $50 for a lunch, I want to eat on my own plate and I’m tired of plastic utensils. I am tired of plastic cups and soup served in Styrofoam. Literally I asked for a fish soup and it was served in a Styrofoam bowl, which I could not eat because the thought made me sense drinking styrofoam. The food was decent. It obviously wasn’t the same menu from years ago. I asked the waitress if I could get a real bowl for the soup and she said they had no real bowls. I said, can you serve it to me in a cup they had no real cups everything was plastic. They served the food on real plates because we ordered à la carte items. However, she never brought us plates to eat off of. I went to the kitchen and I asked for two plates because she was taking her sweet time and I asked for more plastic utensils, she had only included 1 plastic fork and 2 plastic spoons. I’m sorry $50 for lunch for two people and you have to eat plastic. I’m done with that! I think while we go out to spend money you want to enjoy your meal and having it served nicely means a lot as well. You get a tip when you know how to smile and know how to treat your guests!!! Anyway, if I were to ever return, I would have to know that they had real bowls for soup and real plates and Stainless steel or at least wooden Utensils. The only reason I knew her name was because her name was on the receipt, which she also managed to screw that up. There are plenty of restaurants, I had mentioned to my friend this place should be packed with people, but waiters and waitresses can make or...

I haven’t visited the Island in more than 18 years and I have received yesterday evening the worse service from this young lady server, I wanted to eat in the roof top area I ask to be seated there … and she was very rude explaining how I wasn’t going to get service repeating about 3 times I wasn’t going to get service! if I sit there because the main floor was not full yet! She could have been gracious and explained without being rude or having a nasty attitude, we are not working on your restaurant to understand or know this things and I am sure if she explain nicely everyone will understand a very bad welcome to start should have left on the spot but I didn’t let her determine me not trying the empanadas order a drink 🥃 and and walked up to see the view…

I found a family of 4 sitting on the roof top looking at the menu! I explain to them how bad I was treated by the young lady and to my surprise they are also out of state and they didn’t know, not to sit there! but her niece worked in the kitchen but she wasn’t working there yesterday. She told me she will tell her nice how bad I was treated her man when down with his other family member order empanadas and got them up, I really didn’t want to leave without trying them I must some courage order and brought them up myself to watch the view without letting this rude lady ruining my time. Empanadas 4 star ⭐️ There is plenty of restaurants a long the way with way better service and a great view. be aware of this unhappy server lady I didn’t get her name … I am glad I didn’t she...

I recently had the pleasure of visiting Kaplash, and it's safe to say that this spot offers an unbeatable combination of great food, delicious drinks, and breathtaking ocean views. There's nothing quite like enjoying a meal while gazing out at the beautiful blue sea.

The service at Kaplash was exceptional. The food arrived quickly, and the staff was attentive and friendly throughout our visit. Plus, the pricing is very affordable, making it a great option for a casual yet delightful dining experience.

While the menu is limited, everything they serve is absolutely delicious. Kaplash is perfect for brunch, lunch, or late afternoon snacks. It's not the place for a full-blown three-course dinner, but it excels in what it offers.

The empanadillas are a standout. I tried the Kaplash empanadillas, a delightful mix of various seafood, as well as the traditional pollo empanadilla. Both were perfectly cooked—not greasy, with just the right amount of crispiness and a generous filling of meat. They are literally the best empanadillas I've ever had.

To accompany my meal, I had a Coco Mojito, which was both refreshing and generously poured. If this had been more than just a lunch stop, I could easily see myself sipping on several of these until sunset.

Kaplash is a gem with its stunning ocean views, delectable food, and fantastic service. Whether you're in the mood for a quick snack or a leisurely brunch, this spot is definitely...

Delicious empanadillas along with one of the best views on the west side of the island. They had many flavors to choose from though I had heard the seafood empanadillas were a must try and they did not disappoint! The empanadillas had a delicious red sauce filling that was incredible with the seafood though I was not full impressed with the chicken option. I tried 4 flavors and my favorites were the Kaplash (House Special) & the shrimp filled. The pizza was delicious for a non-traditional filling. I recommend stopping in here for anyone driving on PR-115 and looking for a bite to eat. They have a full bar and a friendly staff. If you visit be sure to head up to the rooftop.

They have the best empanadilla's around! My favorite are the shrimp and my hubby's favorite are the steak and cheese. They're also reasonably priced. The staff are all very kind, especially Stacy. The ocean view from the patio is beautiful and also a great place to watch the gorgeous sunset. Just a tip... They'll hand you menus as you walk in. You seat yourself. You'll need to flag down a server to take your order and also to bring you your check when you're finished. You also pay at the bar.
