Sushi By Loonfu — Restaurant in Puerto Rico

As someone who recently moved to Puerto Rico from New York, finding a good sushi spot has been a challenge—until now. Sushi by LoonFu exceeded all my expectations and more.

I ordered the Volcano Roll, and wow, it’s like getting two dishes in one: sushi and a side of spicy crab. The portions here are incredibly generous (which I truly appreciate), and the flavors were out of this world. Every ingredient was fresh, and the quality and presentation were top-notch.

I also tried the Fried Rice of the House with mixed proteins, and let me tell you, I had to take some home because I was stuffed after finishing my roll. The rice was equally delicious and flavorful, with another generous portion size that impressed me.

Although I don’t recall the exact prices, I spent just over $35, including a tip and a soda, which I found very reasonable given the quality and portions.

The service was excellent—the staff was knowledgeable, patient, and friendly, with the owner even checking in to ensure everything was perfect. The limited parking space might be a minor inconvenience, but don’t let that deter you from trying this fantastic sushi spot.

I went because a friend recommended me the place as good and great pricing but it was all the opposite. The food was way overpriced the food was very little for what it is and the didn't even have wasabi and ginger. I have never been in a sushi place that didn't offer those items with my sushi. The owner was not even there to take care of customers and was enjoying jets skiing while we were over priced and on top of that I'm not getting service and right after ordering they made me pay like a fast food and asked me for a tip when you're not even getting served at the table. I'll give an F- for all around experience. After paying for the food which I thought overpriced a lady came to my table to ask me to pay for the order drink when I thought it was already charged and it was a "tea" which tasted nothing like a tea and it was orange which tasted like a water down "tang". I gave it a 1 star 🌟 because it doesn't have the option to no star. First and last time that I'll visit the place. Totally Not...

I hate leaving bad reviews especially when the food is good but the girl working yesterday really has me not wanting to return…

Yesterday, we placed our order, showed up, waited for 25 minutes to pass as they told us it’d be 25 minutes. Walk up to the counter, she says 4 minutes more so we give her our name and wait nearby… she can see us from the truck the entire time. However, 30 more minutes pass and not once does she acknowledge us… a customer waiting in line waves us over because they heard us talking about our order not being ready still… Anyways, when she finally remembers us, she avoids eye contact and hands us our food that has probably been sitting for quite some time now. Didn’t even get a sorry for the wait… nothing.

What should’ve taken 25 minutes took close to an hour when it didn’t...
