Mahi Mahi Restaurant — Restaurant in Puerto Rico

Very disappointed with our recent experience. It is really sad for a place called Mahi mahi that can't properly cook that fish. My wife asked first for breaded Mahi Mahi with mofongo, and we had to return the plate. The Mahi was dry as a shoe sole, and I am 99% sure it was double fried. The mofongo was also dry and bland. We returned it and asked for Mahi Mahi tacos, just to be surprised with the same quality of food: over fried and dry as hell. My daughter had the kids hamburguer, and that was pretty good, however it was a bought patty, not fresh made. My son ordered the fried chicken strips with mofongo, and it was pretty overcooked also, very dry. I ordered the seafood rice, which was pretty good, but the breadfuit tostones were pretty overcooked also. Terrible customer service. We went as a family — 14 people in total. From the moment we arrived, we clearly told the waitress several times that the bill needed to be split into four separate checks. She kept saying yes, that she would do it at the end. When it came time to pay, she tried to charge everything together and made up excuses, even though she had agreed from the start. We had to split the bill manually ourselves and spent almost an hour doing it because of her.

We complained multiple times, and the manager was right there but completely ignored the situation. He never stepped in to help — he literally hid inside and only came out at the end when we were leaving to close the doors. Truly a total lack of consideration, respect, and ethics.
