I'm glad we took this pit stop to historic Draper. There is a little complex in the quaint little village and it has different little shoppes right alongside this Cafe. I'm a little confused about which one is the cafe we had breakfast in and which one is the coffee shoppe, but all I can say with certainty is that we were in the building on the right side... looking at the parking lot from the road.
Inside the cafe there were adorable mini stores that had things from decor to candy to paper products to natural market and kitchen gadgets.
As for the food, I wasn't attracted to anything specific on the menu so I asked for two eggs and buttered grits and that was no problem at all. I wasn't very excited about my grits... I'm sure some people would have loved them but they seemed very thick, creamy and heavy and were not hot, which was a bit off-cutting.
The photos shown is my husband's meal, which was the first item on the menu and he had a hard time finishing it. He added the pimento grits to his and he did not care for his grits either (and they were also only just warm).
Now, take into mind we are northerners and we we are not grits aficionados. However, we do eat them regularly at home and especially when we come south, which is often.
Our server was lovely and very efficient and sweet and they had plenty of staff to help everybody in a timely manner. The food came out very quickly. The coffee was quite tasty and the amount of coffee options was staggeringly fun.
Before we ordered we thought we'd be taking some dessert along with us on our ride to Gatlinburg from here, but sadly, we could not fit another thing in...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI recently visited the Village Coffee Shoppe in Draper, Virginia, with my family and was thoroughly impressed by the experience. From the moment we stepped in, the aroma of fresh coffee beckoned us to try their delicious brews.
We paired our coffees with some truffles, and I must say, both were divine. The flavors were rich and satisfying, indicating high-quality ingredients and skilled preparation. What truly set this place apart, however, was its vibrant culture. Thereās a unique charm to the Village Coffee Shoppe that you canāt find just anywhere. The ambiance is welcoming and warm, making you feel right at home.
Itās a real gem in Draper, offering much more than just good coffee and treats.I was genuinely surprised by the high quality of everything we experienced here. Itās evident that the owners and staff put great care and passion into their work.
I highly recommend the Village Coffee Shoppe to anyone looking for exceptional coffee, delightful sweets, and a rich cultural experience. Donāt miss out on this...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreHands down the worst breakfast I have eaten in a very long time. Starting with the cold old coffee and went down hill from there. Only three other tables seated when we arrived and it took over an hour to get 2 eggs bacon and toast. When the food finally arrived, bacon was cold, eggs premade fluff, toast burnt so bad you could snap it in half and the worst grits I have ever been presented. The āplainā grits come with some nasty liquid mixed in that tastes like a mix of grit and garlic. The place is running off a couple of teenagers, no management in sight. People that were there before us were still waiting on their food when we left. Two orders of 2 āeggsā 1 bacon, burnt toast and grit slop =$50. Talk about a tourist trap and in the south of all places. Somebodyās Moma needs to teach them how to make a...
