My family and I have eaten here a dozen times. We walked in at 8pm to sit and grab dinner. We were greeted and told to sit wherever we would like. There were 3 of us so we choose one of the 4 tops. The young woman who served us explained that she was cleaning up and asked us to move to another table. The other tables were 2 tops. It was a tight fit but we made it work. We ordered a pizza and chicken parm. As usual, we asked for 2 additional side salads. The waitress (Jennifer), explained that they do not offer this and we would have to choose from the entrée versions on the menu. I thought this super unusual as we have ordered side salads on every other dining experience here. It was like just being there was a super inconvenience for her. She asked the kitchen, and indeed we were able to order side salads. When they arrived, the salad was filled with brown lettuce, full of rust. You couldn’t miss it! And she willingly served it this way! I started wondering what other ingredients might not be fresh. We asked for straws and they were thrown on the table. This was a miserable experience. The other staff stood at the setae eating pizza. When we were ready to go, we asked for a box for the remaining pizza. Upon getting home, I took the leftovers and put them in a bag to stay fresh. The pizza was all soggy and wet; I could have wrung the slices out. It’s like the waitress intentionally spilled water in the box. It wasn’t even 15 minutes later. I was willing to look past the experience until this.
I DON’T THINK THE OWNER WAS PRESENT. I can’t imagine Joe would be excited about the staff’s behavior. It’s disappointing because the food is always good. Perhaps the waitress was annoyed that we came in at 8pm (even though they weren’t closing for another hour).

Read moreI don't know why this place isn't on the One Bite app and Dave Portnoy hasn't been here (yet)? So until that time... here's my review. Being from the Northeast, finding decent pizza in Florida has been a frustrating process. Most pies in the area are not much better than a frozen Red Barron. But with Brooklyn Joe's you get a good, solid New York style pie that has an old world look to it. MUCH better than the highly rated (???) Pioneers Pizza. So here we go, everybody knows the rules... Good crust, fresh dough, nice crisp. A little flop, but let it cool a bit and it tightens up. Nice undercarriage. The sauce is o.k., personally I prefer a bit more punch and tangy flavor, but that's a personal choice. The cheese was nice, but didn't get any pull, not overloaded with cheese. Some like that, some don't. Customer service was great. The place was packed on a Saturday night. Large size, to me, is a bit small but then most pizzas seem to be following that trend. I remember when a large pizza had 12 huge cuts (slices), but I'm old LOL! My number one pizza ever: Fiore's in Pittsburgh, PA. So that is the bar par excellence that is set in my mind. For me, Brooklyn Joe's gets a 7.8. Very good score, especially for Florida that tends to stay under 7 in my experiences here over 25 years. Good job, Joe. Hey Dave... how about a...
Read moreI have now eaten here three times and I must say that finally there is a place I have found in town that knows how to cook pizza properly. If you like your pizza cooked like it's supposed to be where the crust is actually cooked on the bottom juicy on the inside perfect amount of toppings a good tasting sauce and quality product and this is the place to go.
I'm originally from Long Island and I have very regularly eaten pizza in Brooklyn and this is the closest thing you're going to get in Florida that I have seen so far. The price is on par if not better than most places around and they're giving you the quality you deserve for the price.
It has a really nice cute atmosphere on the inside and the service is always fast.
We recently ordered five pizzas for my son's birthday we didn't order them well done we didn't order any extra instructions we just left them make the pizzas the way that they make them and everything was perfect My entire family is from Long Island and we've eaten everywhere in the city and in Brooklyn and Long Island everywhere around and it's the closest place to home.
I am a huge chicken parmesan fan and I can't wait to go back and...
