We couldn't wait for this restaurant to reopen. We really enjoyed the old Medicine Mound Depot restaurant and hoped the food would be just as good. We weren't disappointed! The portions are huge and tasted very much like mom or grandma used to make. If you're wanting a commercialized taste in your food this is not the place for you. If you want a goodness to honest home cooked meal then The Old Train Station Depot is the place for you. Our waitress Bethany was attentive to our needs and took our orders without writing anything down. She was spot on and remembered who got what food.

It was a nice country atmosphere. They have plenty of flat-screen TVs great for football season! They have a TouchTunes internet jukebox for extra entertainment. The food was good and plentiful. You get a big amount that's for sure! It definitely has some historical stuff that was very interesting as well. I had the chicken fried steak with a fully loaded baked potato and onion rings! Oh, not to mention we had mozzarella cheese sticks and chips and queso to start as well. They had to roll us out of there! Lol I was stuffed! I will definitely be back again!

Located off Hwy 287 in Quanah, Texas, this restaurant proved to be an exceptional dining experience. The hand-patted cheeseburger and crispy onion rings were expertly prepared to order. The establishment's historic ambiance and tribute to local military veterans, particularly resonant as a veteran myself, added to its charm. Our server/cook provided attentive service, making this a highly recommended stop for travelers. As visitors from Indiana, we were thoroughly impressed with this hometown business and appreciate the pleasant experience. We wish them continued success.

Waitress was very attentive and showed pride in her work, I used to work in the restaurant industry and not being rude but am being direct. Grilled chicken salad ( ckn was luke warm and saturated.) the diced chicken tasted like old or burnt melted grease that even the creamy Italian dressing didn't help cover up. I did eat 3 pieces of the chicken but over a cup of chicken cubes left on my plate. Tortilla chips was still greasy but the salsa had a really good flavor. Other person with me only ate 1 of his tacos, most of his Mexican rice and 2 bites of his slightly warm refried beans. Too much grease on the food and needed to have more attention before being sent out of the kitchen. Paid $32 for meal and $10 tip to the waitress for her attentive work. Without being discourteous or rude comments said goodbye never to...

Terrible, terrible, terrible!

Waitress brought drinks out right away, then forgot about us. Never came back. Then we saw her bussing tables so I asked her if we could order. We finally ordered. Food took forever. I have open faced chicken fried steak. Took forever to get our food. It wasn't even warm when it showed up. So that tells me it sat for a while. Mashed potatoes weren't warm, and neither was mac n cheese. My wife asked for to go box. That even took forever, and the waitress excuse was she was talking to her aunt she hadn't seen in a while.

This was our 1st and...
