The octopus cocktail we had for appetizer was chewy and lacked flavor.

The tres leches we had was presented like one from a fast food restaurant (Pollo Tropical, to be exact) and it was dry. My wife was craving a tres leches, but she had one bite and was done.

Did I mention the fish was dry too?

My personal restaurant ratings are simple: would I return? Yes or No. This is a huge no. I was surprised because this place was recommended to me by my dad. But unfortunately 1 star is the most I would give it.

Service was lacking too, my waitress disappeared when it was time to pay, she didn't give me a chance to complain about the price (I think she knew I was going to say something). Another waitress asked me if everything was alright when she saw me staring at the bill. I told her the $55 for the fish caught me by surprise. She told me they charge per pound, immediately turned around and walked away.

Unfortunately I did not have a good experience with the food, ordered the chicken stuffed with mofongo wrapped in bacon, took the first bite and had to take it out of my mouth because the chicken was tough, couldn't eat it 😞 As a restaurant owner myself I can also say that the service was superb, the waitress came to find out if we had liked our dishes and after letting her know, she talked to her manager and acknowledged the mishap and did not charge for that dish, everything was handled with professionalism. I know sometimes things like that could happen so I wouldn't scratch it of my list and could give it another try. That is what good customer service can do for a business. Might as well have a sign that’s tourists are not welcome here. We were told to wait outside whilst we watched locals all be seated in the front of the restaurant even though they arrived after we did. Luckily there was some prime seating in the front that we could see must be for us... Oh no no no. We were escorted to the back of the restaurant and around the corner far away from the locals.
