The place is cozy and accessible, minutes from route #2. There's plenty of parking and they have a wheelchair accessible ramp. Decor is simple, not a lot of thought put into it and they should re visit this in the future. They don't have a very extensive or well designed wine list. These are the only two areas that I rate negatively. In all fairness most local restaurants in the do not pay enough attention to their wine list or pairings. The menu is not overly elaborate, but it offers enough variety to satisfy even the pickiest of eaters. It combines Spanish and Caribbean flavors. They are well plated and presented.
As far as Cocktails they serve the usual, Mojitos, Sangría and a Coconut Sangría. They also feature a proper Moscow Mule. Travesía also features a fairly decent variety of beers including locally brewed offerings.
Service is where Travesía really stands out, our server awS attentive and knowledgeable. She was on top of our experience without being pushy or intrusive. She was also accommodating and made sure our meal was up to our expectation.
Lastly, Travesía is one of the few restaurants in the are that closes at 11:00 pm. Most local area kitchens close at 10:00 pm. Furthermore, they will not rush you if you get there at 10:45 pm. I saw a couple arrive at that hour and they were treated as well as we were. Do stop and support Travesía they are clearly guest centric. You...
Read moreHave been here several times, first few times everything was fine, but this last one during the construction today (6/7/25) we brought seven people, we had planned to have a full meal here but decided to leave due to the restaurant refusal to change a drink-mojito original, which was the worst I ever had. When I asked to changed my drink I was told that I had to pay for it. Wait? What? We decided to leave to avoid the risk of ordering food which we may not like and would not be able to change. After speaking with the manager about it, he had a lame excuse and stated they were reducing costs. Bottom line, if you go to eat there and the food or drink is not good or you don’t like it, they’ll NOT change it and will charge you for it. So, I wouldn’t recommend you taking that risk. Just don’t go there! Not...
