South Mountain Hotel — Restaurant in Quincy Township

Went to this bar for the first time ( I am African American ) the bartender asked for my id when I looked older then everyone there. I displayed 3 of my id’s I had on hand, she gave me a hard time saying that on the id it displayed “not for real id purposes” she told me she wouldn’t serve me. However she didn’t know that I knew a young Caucasian lady who was already there. I told my friend what happened and she tells me that her id says the same thing. Discrimination at its finest. I would recommend this place ever in a million years. Lawsuit pending. Btw the counters were nasty...

I stopped in from hiking the AT and the owner was very nice to me (even though I probably looked/smelled pretty bad). The burger was delicious, and I love any place that has cheap PBR/Yuengers on tap.

The overall vibe was very hometown/dive, lots of positive energy.

The bar is the perfect place to grab a cold beer without breaking the bank. My Sis had a Patti Melt and said it was very good. The Friday night vibe was fun. Everyone that was hanging in the bar were all local people but they were very friendly. Hope to pop back next year when we camp at...
