Tried for the first time. We will never be back. Ordered 2 sandwiches and fries. One would think that's simple enough. Burger was supposed to be well done and it was basically raw on the inside. Red not pink. Rare at best. They didnt even bother to cut the sandwich in half. And the pastrami was overcooked. Ordered 2 sides of gravy. Only received 1, so sent my husband back up... yes, I said back up.. before we ate to get the other gravy. They sent cold gravy. Ultimate fail on restaurants part. Over 40$ for inedible food. Fail! If they were still open, I would demand 100% of my money back, and they could take back this... food. Instead, my garbage can is eating a 40$ order. I should also add I was a professional chef for years. Whoever is cooking up there should be ashamed to put out food of that quality. They clearly do not know how to cook. Or are so lazy and in such a rush to close that they can't read a food ticket or not overcook a Reuben... or not cook a...

I visited The Tavern and had an outstanding experience! I met the bar owner, Jessica. She and I talked for a bit, as I came before the dinner rush, and we traded several stories and laughs. I had IPA hazy draft, I can't remember which. Then during dinner I drank a Light Oberon fr9m Bell's. It was very good, with a super low alcohol content of 3%. I also had a fantastic sandwich and onion rings. The sandwich was a Grilled Chicken Avacado Club with grilled chicken, bacon, avocado, lettuce, tomato, onion, and a homemade sauce (perhaps a cilantro sauce) on a grilled bun. The chicken was cooked perfectly! I now want to go back and get another. The onion rings were were homemade and came with a homemade Chipotle sauce upon request. I asked for a second helping of the sauce. That was some tasty, spicy goodness. Go to the Tavern! Almost forgot, all of...

I visited The Tavern recently and very much enjoyed my food. I ordered the honey chili smoked wings. They were very good. I think my only critique is that my fountain soda had a little taste of chlorine mixed in with the syrup. Despite that, I still definitely recommend a visit and would like to go back just to try more food.

Update: I’ve been visiting more often. The tavern burger and melt is delicious. Recently they added more appetizers. Also wraps are now available. I ordered the grilled chicken caesar wrap. It was so good! Definitely my new favorite thing to order now. Seriously...

The pretzels are awesome. My rueben was pretty average. They use pastrami instead of corned beef. It was a bit dry but the rye and saurkraut were good. Fried mushrooms were unique and tasty. The burger patty could be a bit larger but it's a minor complaint. Overall the burger was good. Onion rings are good beer battered style, not the frozen ones you find at walmart. The atmosphere is a bit dated, but it's clean and you can play pool and watch the game.
