We stopped to eat here on our way back home from Richland. There were 7 adults, and 4 kids. The restaurant was busy, but we were excited to try out a new restaurant. Completed(?) orders were placed on a counter, where an employee would then grab the order and find the customer. Shakes were also laid out in the same manner, and an employee would grab the shake(s), and go search for the correct customer. Pretty quickly, we noticed it was a bit chaotic behind the counter - some customers received numbers with their orders, some were just providing last names. There didn’t appear to be a system in place to ensure the correct orders went out to the correct people. The longer we waited, the worse the confusion became. With our group, we waited over an hour for food - shakes were long gone by then. One of our group had to ask several times for his son’s shake and fries. He ended up waiting at the counter again reminding staff of the missing fry order. And this was long after he had finished his burger and fries - even his burger order was incorrect. He ordered and paid for a double, and received a single. After an hour wait for the food, he worried that asking for the correct order would only make the delay worse. My wife and I waited over an hour and a half and still hadn’t received our food. The rest of our group had finished their meal, while we were still waiting - we weren’t even the last in our group to order. My wife ended up waiting at the counter in an effort to remind the staff of our order. At this point, we had to request it “to go”, as we didn’t have the time to sit down and enjoy the meal. To add insult to injury, our order wasn’t correct. My wife’s burger had only cheese, pickles and a little lettuce - no tomatoes or grilled onions. Based on observations in the restaurant, we likely received someone else’s order - we even got to pay $50 for the privilege - plus a 25% tip. After today’s experience, I won’t be back and won’t recommend the restaurant to others.
With that said, the burgers and fries were really good. Unfortunately, nothing about the experience was good, and that’s what leaves the...
Read moreThe menu isn’t big. It doesn’t have to be. What they do they do very well. I ordered a double ranch burger. From start to finish it was impeccable. Every bite was saturated in beef tallow. Seeping into the exceptional bun, encapsulating the thinly sliced tomato and lettuce. And complimenting the condiments. It was delicious. Let me say that these taste like healthy cows. I could’ve ate until I exploded; however, I wanted to preserve the experience for another go around so I decided to move on to another course. They sold cookies so I figured that was a logical next step, purchasing one of each chocolate and strawberry flavored cookies. I tried the chocolate first. There was an unmatchable creaminess to it. The cookie flavor and texture worked in unison o create an experience of a dessert. Then I moved on to try the strawberry cookie, thinking that surely there was no way it could top the chocolate. And I was slapped across the face with my own ignorance. The strawberry cookie reacted in my mouth almost the same as the chocolate but managed to melt right in the middle of my palate and delight me with something that was once again altogether a new experience. Combine all this with tasting like a strawberry milkshake from your favorite diner that hasn’t existed since you were 12 lends me to think that there is more than just a little bit of magic happening back in the kitchen.
TLDR: everything was incredible. I can’t...
Read moreWow! We are so glad we finally had the opportunity to visit The Ranch for lunch today. We brought our kids, a friend visiting front he west side and our new puppy ( so we didn't dine in). We were honestly taken back by how delicious and fresh everything tasted. From the warm glistening bun to the amazing patties and just the right amount of (garlic?)seasoned fresh cut tallow fries. Our daughter, whom is the pickiest of all and didn't even want to go was so happy loving everything she tried and our 4 year old devoured his own Ranch Singleand fries. My husband brought out a cookie after placing our order sharing how delightful the man that helped them was. Im not sure what the flavor profile of the cookie was, but it was delicious. I didn't make it into the restaurant as I had puppy duty however my husband whom is hard to impress couldn't stop saying how it was the best burger and fries he has ever had ( and he has circled the sun 50 times) and how great the overall experience was. The Ranch is definitely at the top of our short list of places we are willing to eat out at. We cannot wait to go back and do hope you look into adding an...
