Waitress was friendly but absent minded never gave utensils napkins or offered condiments. I had to grab it from next table. Food is really expensive for what you get Jimmy fries were low grade fries a dollop of crab dip and melted cheese in the center other fries left bare…served on a thin paper plate-paid for an unbelievable 25.95. Asked for crab cake broiled got a fried one all you can taste is old grease. Onion rings and applesauce ended up being the main meal.. Music was too loud for the few customers there. Doz littleneck clams run $14.95 emphasis on little. There was a couple that came in sat down looked at the menu got up and left without ordering …should have taken that as a warning. $78.79 for this dining experience. Honestly bummed out to think of what could have had if I drove a little further south to Stonebridge Grille, Madonna’s or Casa Mia’s or north to The Paddock , Rockfish Grille. Oh well, another bad bump in discovering local...
Read moreSo disappointed. I grew up in Maryland and Capt. Bob's has let me down. I live in Atlanta and travel home to visit family & friends every year for 4th of July week. This was the main thing I wanted to celebrate my 50th birthday (July 1st) with my mom & dad. They wanted to surprise me and ordered 3 dozen smalls for pick up. They were told 1p pick up was fine. They arrived in Railroad at 1p, only to find the location closed. Tried calling and knocked, no answer. My mom was so disappointed. At 4p, Capt Bob's called to see if we were still interested in the crab order. Seriously!? That takes guts. After we returned the call, we were told our order was ready at 1p even tho the location was closed?!?! So, they don't answer the door or phone but our order was ready?! Then, wait 3 hours to call us?! If a mistake was made, admit it & make it right. If the owner/manager wants to do the right thing, I'm...
Read moreHaven't had take-home crabs from Capt Bob's in a while because they're a bit more expensive than most other places in the area. But I got a gift card for my birthday, so ordered a couple dozen large crabs last night to share with my parents. I will say the seasoning was spot-on. But of the "large" crabs we paid for (6-6 1/2",according to their chart), about half were under 6 inches and the entire lot were light. I didn't have one meaty crab in the bag. Also, with 24 crabs, we should have had 48 claws, my favorite part of the crab. We had 10 in the entire bag. I get that claws fall off in the streaming process, but every other place we've been to in PA and MD has thrown in loose claws in the bag to make up for it. My father saw they are selling claws separately. So they're taking part of what I paid for and reselling it. For what they are charging, I was extremely disappointed in...
