Crumb & Cream — Restaurant in Raleigh

Just read the write-up of Caroline and her Crumb & Cream business in Cary Magazine and knew I needed to get over there to try it out. I was not disappointed!! Oh my word...it was so delicious!!! I asked the nice lady working there what her favorite was and she said the oatmeal cream cookie.....I love a recommendation and so that's what I got. It was soooooo good! It LOOKS homemade, it TASTES homemade and the SERVICE was "homemade", too! Such a sweet little shop! I will be back again and again! I have been looking forward to trying this place after many great reviews. I had stopped by two other times but they were closed. I stopped by first thing in the morning (7:30am) to bring some treats to people at work. Unfortunately, the food was all very dried out. It had great flavor but was very dry. I found a sticky note stuck to one of the boxes that said "sell first" so I am thinking these were leftover from yesterday. I got a variety of cinnamon buns, doughnuts, croissants and peanut butter bar. The doughnuts, cinnamon rolls and croissants were all dry but I believe these could have also been from BlueOx Bakery. Crumb & Cream is a fantastic local bakery in Apex! If you haven't visited, it's a must! I had the owner come to my house and decorate cakes for my daughters 11th birthday party. It was a big hit! The owner was very organized and brought all the materials the girls would need including already baked cakes and homemade icing. She was patient, fun, and worked well with my daughter and her friends. My daughter and her friends are still talking about this experience! The cakes turned out amazing and absolutely delicious!
