Solid 3.5 if I could give fractal stars. But not 4. Party of 2 was seated without issue, staff was friendly and accommodating..

We ordered drinks, I ordered a Long Island Iced Tea, and my wife ordered  a Mocktail off their summer cocktails called Mr. Blue Sky.  They were very good.

Appetizers: Went for the Cauliflower Wings and Pretzel Rails. My wife, being vegetarian, we tend to order universal sides for the table. To be honest, I was underwhelmed with the Buffalo on the cauliflower. However, my wife seemed to enjoy it as it's mostly never a veg option.  As for the pretzel rails. My wife's family is from the Alps of Bavaria, I've been doing food reviews for a long, long time. Her vote doesn't count because it never measures a German pretzel regardless. However, we both felt the salt was overloaded, and they were a little spongy. However, I will say I appreciated the horseradish in the ground mustard. I also thought the beer cheese was good.

Mains: My wife ordered the  Fun Guy burger with Onion rings, and I got the 12oz ribeye, medium rare with Onion Rings and coleslaw.

She liked the play on the burger and truly appreciated it. It was different than a black bean or impossible mix. So, for her, it was a real hit. When I write these reviews, most of the time, her input is from the sides or the app. Vegetarian mains are usually the boring parts of the meal.  So well done.

Second Round: For the second round of drinks, we both ordered different. She got the S&B smoothie Mocktail version, and I got the One-In-A-Melon. To be honest, I liked it but I've tried  it already in frozen form as a margarita, and the spice rim did little for me. The bartender made an incredible long island, throw that on the list instead. I did however I did almost need the slice of watermelon. It was 88 degrees at the time of review it was refreshing.

I want to give proper attention to the bar it was solid ,  the freshness of the fruit, an attention to detail was very good. My wife felt the same way rhe 2nd round felt more predictable in flavors for her in the s and she preferred the Mr. Blue Sky, however she noticed that the preparation and presentation of the beverages was clear and not rushed and I felt the same. Taste is taste but the delivery was there.

My Steak: I made my main its own entry for one reason. it was misplaced on the menu. When the waitress brought out not only A1 but Lea and Parrins, I thought, "oh shit what did I order." As anybody like me would know, that's almost something requested,  as the meat is supposed to stand on its own. Then I especially got nervous when I looked and the amount the use the bottles got.

But let me tell you. It was excellent, fully flavored, tender, cut like butter. The kitchen did everything right. However, its thickness, seasoning, cooking style, and overall grade led to the one thing it was missing... not sauce.. eggs.

That was not a steakhouse steak, not the cut or the age  of the meat or the thickness, sides that would traditionally go with a cut of beef... aren't there.

This was a management status box check , The kitchen managed it. But it's not a dinner, steak.

However if that had been on the Brunch menu, which it's NOT??  With 2 eggs, with a little salt, cracked pepper, some sage potato weges., it would have been 5 out of 5. It was perfect for that. I emplore the kitchen to try it as such. And please respond if im wrong.. a little seasonally inspired potato hash, come on.

Take away: Solid bar with sandwiches.

Recommendations: Add steak and eggs to your brunch menu instantly, you won't reget it, and that Bunch menu lacks a heavy protein dish anyway.

Add caraway seeds to your coleslaw it was boring and needed to be kept overnight to develop.

Otherwise, everything was solid but could be more.

Thank you for an enjoyable dinner.

It might sound as if i'm long-winded, but it took you a long time to prepare my meal... When I write a review and as someone that understands the effort thay went into it. I feel you deserve extended feedback. For better...

Our family had just finished Knoebels Joy Through the Grove event, and we needed something to eat. We decided to go with the Nickle Plate Bar & Grill because it was right there. We are so so glad we did.

It has a nice look, reminiscent of the rest of the park. Simple, but with little bits of flare like toy trains and Knoebels post cards and article clippings.

The staff were very nice and attentive. We didn't feel rushed at all. One of the staff, seemed like a manager, but can't be too sure, noticed we had an infant and offered us apple sauce for him. Of course, we accepted, and, much to our delight, we weren't charged for it.

Now to talk about the food. As an appetizer we had the Fried Pickles (called Frickles). Standard fare,, but very tasty, nonetheless. My toddler got the Chicken Tenders. These were surprisingly good. Generally, you associate chicken tenders with cheap appetizers and kids'meals. These were well seasoned and very juicy. The kids meal was too much for my son to eat, but my husband very much enjoyed the leftovers the next day. My husband got the 954 Tenderloin. The meat of the sandwich was very tender. My husband and I shared the sandwich, and it was delicious. I got the Philly Mac & Cheese. This was the clear star of the show. I loved it. My infant was enjoying it. My toddler liked the Mac and Cheese better than his chicken tenders. And my husband spent about half of the two-hour drive home singing its praises.

The price was good too. Yeah, it's a restaurant at an amusement park, so you expect to pay a little more. But the staff and wonderful food made it absolutely worth it. We plan on going here the next time we go to...

Was looking forward to trying this place as I go to Knoebels almost twice a year this was the first time me and my gf were able to make it. We always passed it but it was either too early or too late when we were leaving and just wanted to get home. So when we got the chance to go we were ecstatic unfortunately we never got to experience the food or atmosphere. We entered and weren't even greeted for over 5 minutes. Afterwards they continued to tend to the regulars including several groups that came in after us. When we were finally acknowledged we asked to sit outside and they said they would be right out. Instead we saw them continue to take care of another group they seemed to know. We left before even getting anything as we had know beem there almost 15 minutes. Ended up going to the Original Italian pizza down the street for a great experience. I am well aware places are having trouble getting employees and are understaffed but they were very dead at this time and we're just clearly not interested in taking care of us. It just unfortunate as I would of liked to try it out since me and my girlfriend prefer to not eat...

We were on an outing at Knoebels with the pup over the weekend. We were looking for somewhere that was dog friendly to grab some food on the way home. After searching around, we came upon here. They have a large outdoor seating section which is covered from the elements. After we sat down, we were greeted by our very friendly server Kiersten. She grabbed drink orders and was super accommodating to our pup. Bringing her a water dish and bowl of lettuce (her fav treat.) We placed our app order of Pretzels w/Cheese. It was good as expected and came out fast! We looked over the menu and decided to go with the Mexican Power Bowl and the PB&J Burger w/ a side salad. To say the food was just good would be an understatement. Our meals were packed with all around flavor and were very filling! I highly recommend getting the Burger, it may not be the your “average” toppings but it is delicious!! In conclusion, I highly recommend checking this place out. The staff is super friendly, attentive and the food is tasty and affordable!

I really wanted to report good things about this place, however there is not much positive to say. My positives will be brief. The waiter was nice and gave a good effort to ensure everyone in our party could eat, we had one guest that needs gluten free with vegetarian food, hard to come by as it is and he made a good effort to satisfy these needs. We made reservations at 745, got a seat at 750 and waited until 815 till the waiter even acknowledged us, finally got waters at 830 and food came out around 920. That's right 20 minutes after they officially closed for the day. The beet burger was good but not good enough for this wait. Our kids got their meals at around 9 and were already done before we had even started our meal. Service is slower than molasses and food is just ok. I won't be back and definitely wouldn't recommend to anyone expecting to eat in a timely fashion. However if you like slow but charming service this is your jam! Enjoy or not, it's totally up to you.
