Grand Slam Donuts — Restaurant in Rancho Cucamonga

DISHONEST, POOR SERVICE. I went here this past Wednesday afternoon for the first time. I didn't have cash on me, so I was happy to see the sign on the door that they accept card. I went inside and looked for any other signs that said whether or not they took card. When I asked, the woman said that they took card, but only if I bought a dozen donuts for $13. Well, I wasn't going to buy a whole dozen, so I searched my car for change and got 1 donut. The price on the glass says $1.25 each. The lady asked for $1.50. I thought, "Ok...Maybe it was a 'special' donut," and didn't make much of it. It was a pretty good raised donut with white icing and sprinkles... HOWEVER, I went back there today (Friday) in the afternoon, the same woman was there... I got two donuts of the same type- raised with icing and sprinkles- and I came prepared with a $10 bill. I gave her the $10, she muttered something like "$3.50," a little hard to hear exactly what she said, but I trusted she would charge the right amount... and she gave me $6.50 back. I didn't find out until later that she charged me $1.75 FOR EACH this time. WHATTTT??? The nerve! I hope that maybe the others who help run this business are more honest, but BEWARE. Don't let these guys cheat you on their already overpriced donuts. Take your business elsewhere if they charge you more than what they post. 4 stars for purely the yumminess of the beautiful looking donuts that I had and the fact that they're open 24 hours a day, but 3 negative stars for the lack of integrity, honesty, and friendliness from this particular woman. This business needs to get their stuff straight or they'll keep...

10/10 would recommend. I didn't even know this place existed for the first couple of years I lived in rancho. Years wasted IMO.

The cronuts are a family favorite. Doing a project on the house Saturday morning? Cronuts. Having people over? Cronuts. Going to a family members house for a party? Cronuts. Just want to break up your random Tuesday morning you have off? Cronuts. They're just too damn good. A little sweet for me to have more than 1-2 at a time. But that's just me. My wife has no problem.

I read the other reviews and can confirm some things. The older lady there is short and to the point but I wouldn't consider her rude. Just not talkative. I think some of y'all are just weenies who get offended when someone doesn't have rainbows coming out of their behind.

The younger lady has always been nice and welcoming.

Complaining about ATM fees? Every small business I've been to charges a processing fee because it costs THEM money to allow YOU to use your card but y'all just go around thinking it's free. I don't always agree with it but I understand why it is such. FYI this is also why they have "Minimum purchase" amounts at some stores as well. It's not worth it to them to sell you a 1.50 donut and then have to pay to allow you to use your card. But also, who doesn't carry around a $5 spot for situations just like this?

Anyways, give them a shot. Get a cronut or two. Enjoy your day and if they aren't the most happy people in the world that day, move on with your life. It may be a shock to some people but they are human and can have...

I’ve been coming to grand slam donuts for a while and I’ve never had a complaint except for today. I went in with my little sisters and the woman behind the counter was complimenting them telling them how beautiful they were. However she seemed to favor my younger sister and told her she had a beautiful smile and over and over kept talking about how pretty she was. She then turned to my other sister and told her to smile for her, which she did (she’s 7 so she is missing some of her baby teeth, she’s also constantly teased at school because of this.) She smiled for the woman and the woman gasped and told her that “women need to take care of their teeth, a woman is not beautiful if she has ugly teeth.” She then proceeded to tell her that she needs to take care of her smile and stop eating sugar. We were taken aback because the comments were completely uncalled for and completely out of pocket. We tried to brush it off and slide past the comments and get out of there. Once we got to the car my sister burst into tears over this woman’s comments and it completely ruined her morning. I’m saddened that this woman decided to put her input on my little sisters appearances, it had a huge negative impact on her. Her customer service definitely needs to be fixed and she needs to learn that what you say to young girls leaves an impression. I will not be returning anymore, horrible experience and completely heartbreaking.
