Dairy Queen Grill & Chill — Restaurant in Rancho Mirage

Terrible! I've been here many times in a short period of time and decided not to go again. Every time was different ordering the same food. The first experience I asked about getting a single patty cheeseburger and then asked about the toppings. No toppings are included so I asked what is charged versus free for toppings. She said lettuce, tomato, and onion were free and pickles they charge $0.25. I said to add all the toppings. I got a Dr. Pepper with my order and by the time I got half way home they did not give me my Dr. Pepper and I had to go back. They charge like $0.60 for a side of ranch. The burger patty was like half the size of the bread. (Too small.) For the portions and food you get the prices are not accurate. There was no sincere apology for forgetting my soda, only rushing me out. The regular size soda is really a small size. The fries, too. Next time I went I ordered for my mom as well. They said they don't do lettuce wraps but can take off the bun. I asked about toppings again because every visit has been inconsistent and I expressed this to the drive through person answering the "radio." He said he would ask..when I asked again what is charged versus free toppings wise he pretended like he had asked but then came back on and said he would need to ask [again?!] I got frustrated at this point but still polite. Only this time their rules were opposite! Onions were the only free topping, but lettuce, tomato and pickles were $0.25+ EACH. Umm, are we making rules up as we go? The lady at the window was extremely snarky and smug, I have other words but will keep them to myself. It was too much to ask for ketchup but then it was a task for her to hand over two measly ketchups even though I ordered a bunch of food. I was too scared to order another fries for my son which I had forgotten about over this nightmare experience, for fear my food might turn out more terrible somehow. I thought it over and decided to call and ask for a manager. The first time no one answered. The second time the girl who answered the phone and said she's the manager sounded like the girl at the window, so I hung up, not risking my sanity....

Drove to this location 30 minutes from where I live after calling cause I've noticed in the past the inside is dark before actual closing time hours. Well upon arriving which was 8:25pm with a 9pm posted closed time, all the lights were off. My husband drove us around to the drive thru window to check the hours on sign and the window opens and an employee asked us what we want. And we proceeded to tell her that we thought they were closed cause all lights were off and that we'd like to order and she said "were out of that for the night" for each item when we all know it's because they didn't want to mess up there clean kitchen 35 minutes prior to closing. Went up to order at counter, I told the female employee I wanted a cheese burger. She ask what kind of Sunday do you want. I said I want a cheese burger, Not a sunday. She said it comes with the combo. What?! I said I want a cheese burger Not a combo. She said ok. Then charge me for a combo I didn't want and wrote on ticket don't make sunday. Hello!! Anyone home.
