Cafe Pacific — Restaurant in Rancho Palos Verdes

We were seated by the window overlooking the golf course and the ocean which was great. I ordered the reuben sandwich and calamari. Calamari was cooked perfectly and seasoned well. The sandwich was good too. Nothing extraordinary but it is what a reuben sandwich should be like. Our waiter was not very attentive. It took more than 10 minutes after we were seated before somebody even acknowledged our presence. They were just walking past us like we were invisible. If they would've said "somebody will be with you shortly" that would have been nice. And at that time there were only 2 tables occupied. Courtney is the best manager and makes her rounds to meet and greet. The buffet is the best in LA and a step above those in Vegas. What more do you want..a wonderful and beautiful manager, a view of Catalina, outstanding food and mimosas, excellent waitress/waiter service, a view of the golf course, great live music and of course "Old Glory" waving from above. Beautiful location and great food. Their steaks and lamb are my favorite. The 14 ounce New York is a better buy than the bone in rib-eye just make sure to take it easy on the sauce. The wine selection is in need of a revamp since the reds are few and the ones they carry are not exactly top tier wine. Our server Alexandro was fabulous and made our visit extremely enjoyable.
