Our church had one of our members get lost last week. He ended up being with an unknown woman who hitchhiked for them from Clinton, Iowa to Rapids City, Illinois. He was left alone on the dike in Clinton. All he wanted to do is watch the barges for a while. He should have never been left alone. He does have some mental issues; and, he can not read or write. His wife, another member, and I searched for 2 days to find him. I drove to Pulse 84 because the Clinton police department told me that that is where he was. That he had made contact with a police officer at some point. Supposedly, that police department left him at Pulse 84. That this unknown woman and him were where he wanted to be; and, that he was perfectly happy. NO! This man was afraid and very lost. I went inside the bar. I explained how this man was supposedly taken there. I asked if anyone had seen him. Everyone was so nice. They all were worried. The bartender took my information down; and, said that if anyone saw him, they would contact me. Also, the Father of the bartender just happened to be there. He volunteered to drive us to the other bar in town. He made sure we drove along the Mississippi road to make sure our friend wasn't there. This man had us follow him to check out the possibilities that our friend could be. It was in a terrible situation that I met these people at Pulse 84. But, they were so nice. It must be the most laid-back, friendly bar around. Thank you...

Inspirational message on my cup was nice "Treat people with kindness" It was the precise reason I didn't go back. Two larges coffees were 10 bucks. Ouch! We wouldn't have minded the cost if we would have gotten what we ordered, peppermint mocha and a caramel macchiato. I have no idea what they gave us. 1 cup said mocha latte the other cup said caramel mac. Neither coffee tasted like what we had ordered. I'm sure we will try it again. Hopefully today was just a new business bad day? I'll update my post if I...
