Golden Glo Espresso — Restaurant in Rathdrum

I will start by noting that we are from out of town and stopped in to visit our nephew . The fireworks in the neighborhoods nearby were off the hook. Super fun.

Second, I own a service business and am a complete nerd about customer service. My sister also owns a coffee shop and a roasting company. I usually drink McDonald’s coffee while on the road though.

The customer service this morning went beyond customer service. Perhaps the speakers were out in the drive thru were out. The young woman standing out in the chilly damp morning to take the orders was cheerful and friendly. I didn’t catch her name but she has pink hair right now. Great first impression! Then the young woman who served the drinks and took the payment was equally as great! The experience made me drive away thinking the people of Rathdrum must be great!

I’ve seen some disappointing feedback after making a point to leave a good review. Many of them are older reviews, and the difference in them to my experience is stark. There is probably some hard work and training involved in addressing the negative feedback.

A couple things. The prices were way lower than what I am used to paying. The coffee’s we ordered were excellent. Americano with nothing in it. Really nice.

If the negative reviews were part of a timeframe, your staff this morning are either the right type of people or organizational change has been good. They represent the company and the community very well. Either way keep it up...

I am never one to leave a review, but my experience here was really that bad so I just have to write something. When I pulled up the barista already had a bad attitude, but everyone does sometimes so I ignored it. I told her my drink order and she made them. I ordered an almond milk latte with honey and cinnamon and a white chocolate peanut butter latte with white chocolate powder. When she handed me the almond milk latte, she said “here’s the oat milk latte” so I said, I’m sorry this was supposed to be almond milk. Immediately could tell that annoyed her because of her facial expression. They fixed it and gave them back to me, clearly very annoyed, either at me or someone else. When I got home to try the drinks, I could tell they didn’t mix the honey so the cinnamon was stuck at the bottom, so there was no flavor. Not only that, but they didn’t mix the powder in the other drink so when I tried it I just got a mouthful of unmixed powder. I really like to give people the benefit of the doubt because sometimes we have bad days. But this was completely unacceptable. I work in a coffee stand and I would never treat a customer like this in a million...

I went to Golden Glo for the 1st time on 7/23/23 at 2:45 pm. The girls were super friendly and suggested the French toast bagel and a white peach/dragonfruit pink lotus. Absolutely phenomenal, the French toast bagel exceeded my expectations and was so flavorful, I highly recommend it. I also have to end my review with how kind the young ladies were to us. Will be returning for sure!! Prices are also reasonable. I Will drive from Post Falls anyday to enjoy...
