Tuppers Plains Dairyette — Restaurant in Ravenswood

I used to Love going to the Dairyette with my family growing up. But yesterday when I went with my boyfriend around 5/ 6 ish, we got cheesesticks with marinara sauce. When we went and sat at our table we realized we never got our marinara. I checked both bags, nothing. I went up to the window with my receipt telling them I never got it, the first lady told me it was in the bag. Then when I said it wasn't, she walked away and a boy came to the window and asked what was up. I said "we never got our marinara sauce". He said "she said it was in the bag". As I was trying to explain to him that there wasn't any and I can get the bag to show him, he then slammed the window in my face and walked away. Another female then came to the window after that saying "I know I put the cheesesticks in the bag." I then proceeded to tell her, "we have our cheesesticks, we need the marinara that we paid for." And they gave it to me with attitude and shut the window again. I don't know what was up with them yesterday, but I'm very disappointed in the Dairyette employees. That was not okay, if they would've actually listened to my concern, it could've been avoided. But not only were they calling me a liar, the boy slammed the window in my face. Never have I been treated that way there before....

I ordered a baby cone for my dog and a turtle sundae for me. He finished his cone just before my sundae came out, which took him a little under 10 minutes. Next time ol just get a cone, as the caramel and hot fudge sauces were quite a but on the lite side. I also ordered a single cheeseburger (with everything). While it was VERY good, it took quite a while for them to cook it. I had finished my sundae and still waited over 15 more minutes before my burger came out. So if you've got the time to spend, order it. The hamburger by itself was between ½ and ¾ inches! The homemade chips that were included were a bit salty, but delicious. So disappointed to see this place go downhill, and its unfortunately due to the employees that could care less. Went there about an hour ago with barely anyone in line just to leave without food because after 40 mins of waiting for just an order of chilli fries with no cheese, that completely blew the mind out if the employee under the influence, taking our order so much that she couldn't type it up without help. The time before we went same issues employee completely under the influence with odors coming from her. We waiting that time for food that wasn't even fully cooked. Its sad we use to go there all the time with my family and each time we've been back since they opened up from covid it has been nothing but...
