This has got to be some of the worst experience I've ever had at first you think it's a joke but it's not unfortunately after waiting 24 hours from mediocre food that we were not even able to get let me explain First they're so lazy they don't want to do math at night they won't take $100 bills they can they just don't want to do the math on it and it's not like we are ordering a soda and trying to get change for a hundred we had $70 worth of food ordered and they still wouldn't take the hundred I mean come on $30 change but I guess that math was too difficult but we went out of our way hungry cuz we have been driving for 12 hours we finally went around to every single store in the town at 10:00 at night and nobody had change for $100 bill which I don't understand how that's possible you are a restaurant gas station I mean it's cash so we realized we're not able to eat that night but we are hungry and we really want to try the place out so we go to sleep and had sleep for dinner because nobody wanted to do their job here at Penny's diner then we get up with anticipation for the next morning to have breakfast foods which by the way prior to the evening they were out of everything somehow if you wanted to order something the gentleman who brings his problems from home into work will look at you frustrated and say we don't have it you can look at it and be right in your face and he will still say that they don't have it do you have biscuits while there's biscuits on the counter no we're all out do you have anything else no we don't really have anything but chicken strips and burgers so the next morning we go in and not only do they not have anything againbas they just told us they finished a truck but they refuse to take orders because someone's doing a truck meanwhile other people are just sitting around doing absolutely nothing this place is the epitome of laziness it is the Pinnacle of the source of not my job not my problem don't come to this place save your headache save your aggravation this place is a no-go to go and if this is a corporate organization I think you should evaluate having this place open and re staff I will also add that the cleanliness is not a thing all the tables are dirty it's pretty much clean yourself the fry oil looks like it has been changed since the diner opened there doors for the first time there are flies all throughout the restaurant and let not forget to mention all the little little leg creatures roaming...
Read moreWe chose this dinner because online it said they had pork chops. So we walk in and we got a hi from someone we assumed was the manager. She wasn't dressed the same as the 3 other employees standing near her. There wasn't a sign to wait to be seated or seat yourself and no one offered the information while we stood there wondering if we could sit down. We finally asked and was told to sit anywhere. We sat down and waited. And waited some more. About 15 minutes later one of the guys left the huddle they had going around the cash register, ( there were 4 people standing there) and offered to get us drinks. We said we were ready to order. He took our order and it took them at least 5 more minutes to start cooking our order. They were all just standing around the cash register doing whatever they were doing. No one brought our salad. The guy that cooked our food brought our salad with our food when he noticed no one else brought it. It was like we were in their way for being there or something. We finally got our food and the guy was nice enough to split our food for us. We had the chicken fried chicken because they don't have pork chops like the website said. The gravy was real good. The tator tots were good. We got tired of waiting for our check so we went and stood next to the cash register. Now there were different people near the register and they didn't acknowledge us at all. The original manager lady was nowhere to be found, and only 2 of the 3 guys were around. Neither acknowledged us. I finally asked the lady by the register if we could please pay. She said she normally doesn't run the register because she works for the hotel. She rang us up however. I truly believe we could have walked out without paying and they wouldn't have noticed until they finally cleaned our table. So if you don't mind being an afterthought and waiting a long time for service, the food...
Read more⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ A Hidden Gem with Personality — Penny’s Diner, Rawlins, WY Rolling through Rawlins and hungry for a bite? Do not miss Penny’s Diner a classic-looking spot with way more personality than you'd ever expect. The theme is cute and retro, but the real magic is in the one-man comedy-cooking show happening inside. We don’t know his name ... let’s just call him Grill Daddy Supreme ... but this guy was the waiter, chef, host, and stand-up comic all in one. One group walked in behind us and he shouted, “We’re full! Can’t serve ugly people today!” Another crew wearing baseball gear heard, “Sorry, we’re short-staffed. Can’t serve baseball folks today!” He had the whole diner laughing and somehow still managed to serve up amazing food with a smile. There was a young girl helping out, but Grill Daddy Supreme was clearly running the whole circus. At one point, someone peeked in the door and he yelled, “I can only do so much! Might wanna jog to McDonald’s!” Pure gold. We got there just in time and ordered the Sunrise Skillet. We were seated right by the grill, so we watched the magic happen. It was hot, hearty, and absolutely delicious so good I forgot to take a photo before digging in. (I did snap one mid-bite. That sourdough? Ridiculous.)This wasn’t just a meal it was a memory. Great food, hilarious service, and a diner experience...
