Tavern On The Moor — Restaurant in Raymore

We were excited to try this place as our friends we are staying with live in the community. The food was really good but the service was very mediocre. I felt we had to ask for every little thing such as more sugar and creamer for coffee. When the server poured our coffees, she did so so quickly that is splashed on our shirts and when she realized, she said "oh did I get you, sorry" as she was walking away. Our friend's plate took extra long and when they finally brought it out, it was not hot but warm because the lady who brought the food out overlooked the plate and it was just sitting there waiting to be picked up. When mentioned, they redid her plate to make it fresh. Also she ordered milk and it was sour. Overall we were not impressed with the service. Our friends mentioned this wasnt a first time bad service experience and if the service ever improves, they would eat there more often but now they avoid this place because of the service....

We went for a birthday dinner on Thursday nigh. Not a busy night. Took our drink order and 20 minutes later we got our drinks. At the same time we ordered our drinks we ordered and an appetizer and our food. We watched another group come in after we had been there 20 more minutes and get their appetizer an hour later we get our food, asked where our appetizer was and was told they are still working on it. Pretty sure they gave ours to the other table. No apology or explanation. We cancelled the appetizer since we already had our dinner. The food was good just burgers and chicken tenders. When we got our bill they added an extra burger onto it, after getting that fixed and 2 hours later for a burger and chicken strips we...

We came out to see our favorite musician. We got here early for best seating and to eat dinner. No one came to take our drink order; my husband finally went to the bar to get our own drinks. 20 minutes later, no one had taken our order. Again my husband went to the bar to get another round and mentioned that we were ready to order. The bar tender came and took our food order. Now 2 hours later, still no food. My husband went to the bar a third time to get more drinks and inquire about our food an hour ago. I can’t leave a review about the food (that the bartender said was good) because we never got food.
