I usually never post reviews but I felt like this was necessary to. My friend and I are frequent flyers at this establishment and it use to be our favorite place Togo. The last time we went it wasn’t how it usually was. But we said hey let’s go to barrels and boards tonight. We decided to sit at the bar . That was the biggest mistake. I asked if the pear martini was still available cause I had seen there was a pear cocktail on the menu and the Bartender Angelica said “thats a cocktail not a martini” I understand that is a cocktail all I was asking if you are still able to make the pear martini for me. She then said yeah she could it looked good but as soon as I tried it didn’t taste right. Mind you I get this martini all the time I tell everyone about this martini it’s by far one of my favorites . I told my friend I didn’t want to tell her I didn’t like my drink because right off the bat she gave us attitude and even with other guests she did to. My friend called her aside and was like this doesn’t taste how it usually does anyway we can have more pear puree and she replied with “ well I put this and this in the drink” I don’t care what you put in the drink can you just please grab me what I asked for. What she should of done was ask hey I can remake that for you sorry about that . We cashed out cause the last thing we wanted to was sit at the bar when she already gave us a bad taste in our mouths and didn’t make us feel very welcomed . We then asked the host if we could grab a table and she sat us at the high top where the booths are so we were facing the bar . This is the real kicker of the story the bartender that just made our drinks and gave us attitude was talking to the other bartender and was looking right as us talking . She gave us dirty looks and kept talking it was clear she was complaining about us . My friend and I got up went to the manager and told him what happened that we wanted a refund for our drinks that we lost our appetite and no longer want to dine here tonight , he begged us to stay to sit on the other side of the restaurant but we refused. He took our drinks and said to give us a shot next time . He totally disregarded that we asked for our drinks to be taken care of since we only had one sip out of them and we did not want them anymore. He said he was going to refund the payment and go talk to the bartender which five minutes later he came back and basically said that the bartender was looking at us because she was telling the other bartender how to make our drinks which we all know that was not true. It was clear that she was talking about us in a bad way. The manager told us to ask for him when we come back here. I honestly don’t know if we will ever be back it may be a long time . My friend and I work in the service industry and we know what great hospitality is and last night was not a good...
Read moreAddendum 6/5/25: Since I made my original post, management reached out to me to further discuss my experience. Just that simple gesture of customer service alone I increased my ratings to 4 stars, and now give service an overall 5 star. They were even generous enough to give us a gift card which we will 100% be using sometime in the near future. Thank you kindly!
First time and probably the last. So I drive by enough, and looks busy enough. Went on the website and it definitely exaggerated the 1920s theme, but my husband and I love that theme and after reading the site I felt I had to take him for his birthday. There was maybe 2-3 1920s pictures, maybe. That was it so that was a huge disappointment. Then the 4 of us are seated in this window room to the left. So uncomfortable with how little space there was and how close we were to other tables. Then the waitress. She was great when she took our appetizer order and drink order but then we didn't see her again for literally 45 minutes. That's just ridiculous. Stuffy was excellent, chicken wings were excellent. Portion size on wings could have been better but they were amazing. My son got a burger meal, husband chicken Parm, daughter chicken tenders, myself seafood meal. All 4 meals were mediocre. My husband literally said my chicken Parm and olive garden is better. I tried it and couldn't disagree. I didn't try my sons burger but I took his word when he said the pub has better burgers, my daughter's tender were ok, not great, not bad, just ok. My meal. $40 plus on a seafood meal. Again, mediocre at best. I can name at least 5 other restaurants with great seafood meals. Happy I tried a new place but 100% not worth it to me. Service was sub par especially going that long without seeing the waitress, kitchen staff brought of food out not even her, kitchen staff was friendly but they just dropped off the food and left, stuffy & chicken wings were amazingly good but literally everything else mediocre. Atmosphere does not even come close to how it is advertised online on its own website. Way too crowded and on top of other people where we were sat at least ( the booths) looked nice but we were no...
Read moreAfter waiting over 15 minutes for someone to come over to the table and our drink orders to be taken, we decided to order our apps and dinners all together to avoid another long wait. This is on a Thursday night, and it was not overly busy. There was no wait to be seated, and there were several empty tables in the dining room. Two of us decided to order the tuna sushi bowl from the weekly specials menu, only to be told that they were out of sushi rice, but the chef could make it with rice pilaf (not quite the same). We opted to have it over mixed greens instead, our suggestion, not theirs. The other dish ordered was a fried seafood trio. The appetizer arrived, and plates were cleared. After waiting 35 minutes, we flagged down our waitress, who said that 2 out of 3 of the meals were ready so it wouldn't be too much longer. Our meals finally arrived over an hour after we were seated. To make matters worse, the fried seafood was cold, and the tuna in the sushi bowls had obviously been frozen, and microwave defrosted as it was turning brown on the edges and still partially frozen in the center of the cubes. Because we were all so hungry by then, we ate what we could. I do have to say that the vegetables & greens that came in the sushi bowl were delicious, so I ate around the tuna. When the waitress came back to check on us, we explained the issue to her, and she did offer to bring us new meals, but at that point, it was just too late. She did have the manager come over & talk to us. The manager apologized and did take the meals off our bill, as well as tell us that she would like to offer us complimentary dessert for our trouble. As we were finishing up and the table was being cleared, a runner came over to the table with a take out bag. In it was a plastic container with the thinnest slice of cheesecake I have ever seen. One slice. In a take out bag. That was our complimentary dessert for our trouble? No choice of what we wanted for dessert? What if we wanted to eat there with a drink or a cup of coffee? Were the three of us supposed to split it up to take home? 🤣 Do better...
