Ordered delivery via Uber eats for transparency. Maybe there’s some lost in translation situation there.
Mushroom bar pizza with light sauce 8/10. Pretty standard, hard to mess up, on point.
Goldfever tenders 4/10; sauce was mediocre more straight bbq than the standard yellow/mustard/Carolina bbq I would expect from a “goldfever” sauce. Tenders themselves were generic ones similar to friendlys or papa Gino’s. 6 for $14 seems pretty steep considering the lack of quality.
Steak and cheese 6/10. The sub roll was absolutely superb! Carrying the majority of the points on its back. Meat seamed like steakums, which I’m “fine” with but it was so heavily over peppered I found it to be almost inedible. Felt like I was eating a black pepper sandwich. Menu has no mention of dish being peppered. Fries were very obviously not made to order, they were stone cold ( I live five mins away so can’t blame on delivery time) and tasted stale/old, additionally also prepared with loads of black pepper. Not the standard for most eateries, even restaurants that use season salt typically disclose that. Paid a dollar for extra pickles and only got three pickle chips. menu states all subs already comes with pickles so curious what the standard pickle portion is and what the additional dollar covers?
Overall highly suggest if you’re looking for just the bar pizza, would not recommend anything else on menu. Probably will not...
Read moreThe Original Bar Pizza. If you are not familiar with bar pizza, it is a specific style of pizza and not juts a pizza you get from a bar. Case in point, this location does not have a bar. This style of pizza is local to New England. If you have never tried "real" bar pizza then it is definitely worth trying. They do have other locations around the area too. Now, lets talk about our experience. They service, was simple, it was good. They were able to accommodate our special requests for pizza that we shared. It was good! :) Toppings had good coverage edge to edge, the sauce was not sweet, which we like, and the crust was somewhat thin and crispy. No thin like a Brooklyn pizza though. I did take notice that that ham was cubed and not diced. I really like that too. For me, the crust could have cooked for another couple of minutes. Next time I will ask for it "well done".
My wife had gone to the Brockton location a few weeks back and wanted to share her experience with me, so we sent to this location as it was most convenient . My wife loves it. For me, it was good and...
Read moreI just went in and purchased three slices of cheese pizza. I got back to my office, and was half way through eating a slice when I found a disgusting black hair in the pizza between the cheese and crust. I called back and calmly/nicely explained what happened. The woman on the other end said nothing except "please hold". She picked up a second time and asked how she could help me, I told her she just put me on hold and there was hair in my food, again she said "please hold". Then another woman (manager) picked up, and asked how she could help. I explained the situation. She did not apologize in any way, just proceeded to tell me there is nothing she can do without seeing the pizza. I explained I wasn't looking for a refund or for her to do anything, just that as a manager I thought they would want to know that I found hair in my food. She said "ok, so what do you want me to do? send you a coupon?" Both women made it clear that they could care less. I used to LOVE Cape Cod Pizza, but I will never go back after the disgusting hair in my food, and the rude...
