We came here for dinner on a Saturday evening. There was more than an hour before they were supposed to close. When we came in the bartender (who also is the waitstaff and the server?) showed us the menu. We decided what to order, waited twenty minutes for her to get done being the bartender for everyone and we finally went up to the bar to order it. She tells us they already are cleaning the kitchen and the only thing they can offer us is chips and salsa or fish tacos. There are no other places around so we didn’t exactly have a choice. They didn’t think of revising the menu that’s only written on the little board to let the customers know this?! She couldn’t tell us this instead of saying the menu was on the board. Sorry but that’s horrible service and a lousy way to run a business, especially on a Saturday night! Sorry they decided to clean the kitchen more than an hour before they closed, but totally not our problem. There were four other groups that came in with us. The group right before us that ordered literally thirty seconds before us got burgers! This was a first in all the years I have traveled and I definitely would not recommend! Word of mouth is vital for a place in a small...

What an incredible place to stop at while snowmobiling at Vail Pass. We were told to stop here by the USFS, and we were not disappointed. We strolled in on a Monday afternoon and were pleasantly greeted by the wonderful staff.

Once seated, we were served their homemade barbecue chips on the house. The cliff burger was a newly added menu item, and was the best burger I’ve had in quite some time. The chef made an in-house barbecue sauce with a hint of bourbon that complimented the smoked gouda over a perfectly grilled beef patty. And don’t even get me started on this fries. We had both sweet potato fries as well as their home fries, both were exceptionally cooked, seasoned, and fresh.

Everything about this showed that the chef takes pride in his craft.

Unlike other establishments, Mango’s serves genuine coke products.

If you’re snowmobiling in the area, note that they were very accommodating with all of our gear, and provided a self serve water station. This is a must stop spot, if you’re reading this review,...

I was reallllly excited to try this place finally. I absolutely love Red Cliff and all the unique history and have heard about Mango's from a close friend. We got there, parked and walked in. It was a little busy. No one greeted us and there was no sign about seating. I walked to the bar and asked if we seat ourselves and the guy behind the counter was short with me and said he had no tables. I said okay, seeing several areas that just needed cleaning. I know how it goes, so no biggie. He said "give me like 10 minutes and I'll clear a spot at the bar". We waited. And waited. The guy didn't say another word. We ended up walking out because we were awkwardly just standing there for 20 minutes. Super bummed. Can't speak to the food. Maybe will give it another go...

More about the whole place and people than just the tavern (which is pretty sweet: three floors built into the cliffside) but it's the only place in Colorado that returns the steering wheel hand wave 👋. Lovely, beautiful lady asked if I needed some food for the road just to have if I was hungry, just because she was a good person that treats anyone like an actual human being, sorely lacking in the cities these past 5 years. Everyone was friendly and kind, and I'm not even the typical looking Coloradoan (I'm ethnically Korean, and proudly rep Wyoming and America). Denver is surprisingly racist; Red Cliff was not at all. Lovely people to talk to and be with - I'm almost afraid to bring attention to it because attention ruins everything.
