Red Box Car — Restaurant in Red Lodge

Normally I would want to give this place more credit, but the last few times I've gone, I've been becoming more and more disappointed. The line was extremely long, which is fine, but the line barely moved. We stood in line for about 20 minutes. Once I got up to the window, I realized why it took so long. The cashier woman obviously couldn't run the machine properly, either that or she had a really bad short term memory problem. She rang in my order and I paid. I was in a group of 3. After it took about 10 minutes to ring in our orders, we went and waited for our food. My friends buzzer went off first, and she found the order was put in inccorectly. Then my buzzer went off and I found there was a question about what I ordered. She had entered in the wrong order for me as well. Back to the table. Then my buzzer went off again, and I finally got my food. The same friends buzzer went off and when she went to go get her food, she found they never made half of her order. Then the 3rd person in our group found they had entered hers in wrong as well. There were no smiles, seemed like everyone was in a daze, and the one who didn't get half her food went to check on it, and there was confusion with the kitchen and it had never gotten done, STILL. So finally she received her food and at least the sweet woman with the blonde braid and hat who brought it out was apologetic. Other than that, pretty much everything went wrong. All of our food was way too salty as well. We had spicy pickle spears, and chili cheese fries. The burger was good, though. New kids or not, the brown haired woman running the cash register was not a child, and my least favorite person I encountered...

Very disappointed. It was my first visit to the Box Car. Just wanted to have ice cream with my mom. We were ordering outside. We noticed a sign on the door saying masks were required to enter. We weren't interested in going inside. We wanted to stay outside, order at the window and enjoy our ice cream outside. Not ONE sign was posted at the ordering window saying masks were required. We got up to the window and an EXTREMELY rude man in the kitchen looked at me and said I had to have a mask on. Not once but twice. Never coming to the window and being kind. He was yelling from the kitchen that I couldn't order without a mask. Interesting, seeing how he was handling people's food without a face covering. He told the window employees to deny me service since I wasn't wearing a mask. Absolutely HORRIBLE first visit for me. Needless to say, I will never return and I'll be sure to tell EVERYONE I know to not visit this establishment. As we all know, reputation...

Or the thing you think about when you're pregnant and can't stop thinking about food? Red Box Car. Or what you want when you're miserably in a mess after a bad breakup? Red Box Car. The only thing you ever really want for Christmas? Red Box Car. So just do it, go get it. Don't worry about the long line, it's there for a reason! Don't worry about what you'll pick from the menu, you can't go wrong with anything. And don't worry about that diet, you know if you go get a salad you'll still be hungry or you can get Red Box Car and be...
