I have been going to this particular White Castle when no other is open or too far away for over 20 years. I've given them chances time and time again and they always drop the ball. Orders are never right, takes forever to get the food and the customer service is horrible. This will be the last time I ever go to this one.
First of all I ordered using the app. I've done this for over 3 years now at multiple stores with no problems whatsoever. This was the first time I tried it at this one. I figured if they had the order printed out and right in front of them there is no way they could mess it up. Wow was I wrong.
The app told me to give them 15 minutes. I know this one WC is slow, so I got there 20 minutes later. I sat at the speaker for 3-4 minutes before anyone even said anything. I told them I had an online order and they told me to pull forward. There was one car there in front of me. After 5 minutes the driver of the car in front of me honked the horn and asked what is taking so long. The window opened and a bag of food was thrust at her window. I get to the window and sit for another 3-4 minutes before they even open the window. When they do they asked if I ordered the jalapeno cheeseburgers. I said yes. I had to wait another 5 or so minutes before they were given to me without any comment or even a "no problem" when I said thanks. When I got home, the burgers were not made how I had ordered them, and they obviously hadn't even bothered to look at the online order (add pickles and mustard) until I pulled up to the window. If this was a one time thing I'd let it go. But this ALWAYS happens at this location.
This is, without a doubt, the WORST WC I've ever been to. And I've traveled all over the continental US. What makes it even worse is the attitude of the workers. From trainee to manager they're never friendly or willing to fix your order and just generally act like you're bothering them. I'm sure nothing will come from this review, since this store has been this way and has the reputation of being this way for over 20 years now. But if by some off chance the GM or regional manager reads this, you really need to clean house and change the culture of this store. I've been in customer service for a decade, and I wouldn't have a job if I acted like the employees here.
My advice is to go to the Plymouth Rd. store if they are open, or just drive to the 8 Mile one. Even with the extra drive you're most likely going to save time and get your order correctly made. It's worth the extra hassle not to deal with the dumbfounding level of incompetence this...
Read moreI had a terrible experience at this white castle today firstly I got there pulled into lane 2 to place my order there was no cars in lane 2 only 1car in lane 1 the person in in lane 1 placed his order then proceeded to window to pay which means I was next in lane 2 yet NO ONE TOOK MY ORDER ANOTHER PERSON PULLED IN LANE 1 AND THEIR ORDER WAS TAKEN BEFORE MINE SMH, I had to drive to front and ask to speak to a manager which was very dry with an apology the manager proceeded to take my order which was a no. 2 additional panko fish which came to 13 bucks and change when I pulled to window lady working drive through tried to overcharge me and said 15 bucks and change once I corrected her she checked with someone and dryly said the correct amount once I got my order I found out she gave me wrong drink flavor with my order then I had to go BACK AND GET CORRECT DRINK I drove up to window told lady she gave me wrong drink I sat it on ledge she mumbled something and pushed window out window onto next customer car and splashed her white vehicle she the threatened me with calling police why I don't have a clue I then told her I didn't care WHO SHE CALLED AND ID BE SITTING WAITING ON THEM I ATE MY FOOD IN MY CAR THEN LEFT THIS PERSON WAS EXTREMELY...
Read moreSo I ended up calling in about everyday coming in ordering my 2 cheeseburgers for breakfast and that I receive or burgers with dry crust without them being made the way "i" specified 7.15.2022 in the afternoon at around 7pm., Had gradually and respectfully spoken with a Supervisor, Denise to be exact she apologized for the service I repeatedly received. Even offered me a #1 value meal with cheese and reassured me of an enjoyable meal from their location. WORST FOR EVER! Worst than the morning time when I usually come by: stale bread (meaning it's been lingering on that grill longer than expected and still served to me and the customer in front who pulled back around because of maybe an issue) usually I receive snobby irritable service in an untimely manner of at the speaker for longer than 2 minutes when I were coming for a quick bite eat before work. Failed my appetite for their will known burger experience, inability to follow key customer service values. This location terrible (PERIOD).
