This was our go-to breakfast place for a couple of years, sometimes we would eat here every other weekend at least. The food is always so delicious! However I'm not exaggerating when I say this, our order is wrong every single time🤦🏼♀️, and 99.9% of the time it's been my husband's order.🤣 Most of the time we have been charged for things we asked for but didn't receive. We are so quiet and passive that we have only said anything maybe twice out of these few years about getting the wrong food, or being overcharged Of course they offered to remake it when it's wrong, but who wants to wait for that? So we don't say anything. It was last year we realized it was our waitress, and not the kitchen messing things up after looking at her handwritten ticket. Every time my husband ordered a breakfast scramble he would get the opposite vegetables and or meats he asked for. My husband would ask for over-medium eggs and would get scrambled, and vice versa so he quit ordering the scramble. Yesterday, he was shorted an egg, and we didn't get the eggs and sausage we ordered with our kid's pancake breakfast. Yesterday we will never know who messed it up because we were never given a ticket, just told the total 🤷🏼♀️. We have a ton of compassion, we have both been servers for many years and have ways chalked it up to their servers being young. Unless "dad" is out making the coffee rounds, my husband has had to ways ask for more coffee, with most of our past experiences the cup sitting empty, so he quit ordering coffee, switching to soda didn't make a difference he had to ask another waitress for a refill because ours didn't come back to the table. We had the empty glass sitting right on the outside hoping someone would see it. Our waitress was busy ringing people out. Now when we are asked if everything is okay we just say yes, it has become a running joke between us. It's a small town, and we don't want to be those people whose order is always wrong, but it legitimately is, the wrong food or completely missing items every single time. I'm writing this hoping the owners read it and can make the necessary adjustments. I would suggest people go eat here, the food is seriously some of the best around, we just have bad luck...
Read moreSo happy to have found this great place!
From the moment i walked through the door for the 1st time i was treated to the friendliest & most genuine welcome i think i have ever had! Even though i had never been there before i was greeted like a long known friend.
Jeff the owner & the people there obviously take great pride in ensuring everyone is treated this way. I watched as each regular was greeted by name & conversation were picked up from where it had been left the previous visit
I sat at the counter & within a few minutes was chatting to other diners as if i had known them for ages!
The food is of equal quality to the welcome - from a simple breakfast to their. justifiably, famous Sunday fried chicken i think you would be hard pressed to find better.
I spent 3 very happy visits here within a few days & on my 3rd was very sad to have to leave to return to my home across the Pond, but i will be returning as soon as work & finances allow!
Cannot recommend this cafe & the people here ( both staff & fellow diners ) highly enough. If you find yourself anywhere near Reeds Spring do yourself a...
Read moreAlright, I don't do reviews but I have to for this place. Finding this hidden gem was the result of a months long quest to find the best southern cooking in the Branson/Springfield area, by going to each one and ordering their biscuits and gravy. Mid Town Cafe does biscuits and gravy right, and does everything else right too. Since finding this place, I keep going back, and everything I've tried is great. I don't know the cook's name but he's a wizard.
All of the staff there are friendly and they never let your glass go empty. And the owner is a super great guy but works way too hard and needs a vacation. They're all good people there, and great food. I can't recommend the place enough.
Also, if you're a veteran these are your people. You'll be at home here and they'll give you discounts and stuff....
