McDonald's — Restaurant in Refugio

Stopped here during a road trip. I ordered two 20-pc nuggets and one 10-pc nuggets at the speaker in the drive-thru. The employee on the other end repeated back to me, 1-20 piece and 1-10 piece nuggets? I said no, "Two 20-piece and one 10-piece" to which they replied, "ok, got it, please drive up". I got to the 1st window to pay and the lady gave me my total, $14 and change...so I asked her to please repeat the order to me and she said, one 20-piece and one 10-piece. I said no, that's not right. I asked for two-20 pieces and one 10-piece. She responded, "That's what I said". Ugh.....ok. I went to the next window to get my food and the guy handed me, can you guess?? One 20-piece and one 10-piece. I was losing my patience at this point and told the guy, "I already told the other employees that I wanted TWO 20-pieces and ONE 10-PIECE" I feel like I have repeated myself ten times at this point. The young guy took the order back, shared a few words with someone I couldn't see and then came back to the window with two 20-piece nuggets and one 10-piece nuggets.....at no charge. They really need to work on their listening skills as well as their communication skills. This was just bad-wrong all the way around. If it wasn't for the last ditch effort that gave me the 2nd 20-piece for free, I would have given them even less stars than I did... Until...

I placed a mobile order when passing through this small town. I was traveling several hours to Corpus Christi. I needed the restroom, a drink and snack. The restroom was mostly clean. The automated soap dispenser was not working in the ladies’ room. Employees are required to was their hands and they didn’t know the only available soap dispenser was out of order? 🤨 So I rinsed my hands, dried them and tried to use the hand sanitizer just outside the bathroom door; this was out of commission as well 😒So I told the cashier and she said, I’ll let them know. What? You work here, right? You are the “them”. She gave me my order, but no cup and waited on a Spanish speaking lady. She didn’t understand and so. She walked away and asked a Spanish speaking coworker to help. I’m still waiting for my cup. After the Spanish lady gets her straw that had not come with her drive thru order, the employee began to walk away. I spoke out then…excuse me ma’am, can I have a large cup. 🙂 As I’m leaving the store, I noticed another hand sanitizer dispenser by the entry/exit; false alarm! That doesn’t work either….so apparently employees haven’t been cleaning their hand at this location and they aren’t in a hurry to...

Um this was most probably the worst service I’ve ever recurved in any fast food establishment ever. Hands down. We are on a long road trip and this McDonald’s was the only thing that we cared to eat for miles. Chicken nuggets sounded great. We ordered a 20 price chicken nugget for me and my mom to split and medium fries for both. My sister got a simple happy meal cheeseburger with fries. When we ordered two waters, and they charged us for water bottles. So we had to explain we wanted a cup of water. Then we got my sisters drink which was was labeled sweet tea and unsweetened both were unsweetened to no surprise. Then my sister got her cheeseburger and it had no cheese. Nicely asked to get a cheeseburger and received a bun with cheese and no meat. A CHEESE SANDWICH. Our chicken nuggets were very cold and stale so we asked for fresh nugs. They gave us a ten piece back and had to ask again!!! FOR A 20 PIECE. by the time we actually got our food our fries were cold. OH AND TO TOP IT OFF I ALMOST CHOKED ON A BONE IN MY FREAKING CHICKEN NUGGET what are the odds of that. Worst...
