Kimmie Candy Company — Restaurant in Reno

We love Kimmie Candy Company! We visit there pretty often to get their fun and yummy candy at great prices. And they have an oops section where the tag is crooked or the date was printed wrong and they are even cheaper. I take my kids with me most of the time and it is kid friendly. We have gotten to know Holly and she is SO nice. We booked a tour over Spring break for our group and Holly was our guide. She knows the place really well and I was happy to hear that they are working on getting the red 40 out of their products that it is in. Holly held my baby nephew for most of the tour and he loved it. She is personable, helpful, patient, and informative. When I have had a question here and there about something she wasn't familiar with, like a brand new register system or a seasonal product that was out, she figures it out quickly and finds me what I was looking for. Had the opportunity to visit Kimmie Candy Company in Reno, Nevada. We watched a short video on how the company’s founder started it and the processes used to make all the different candies. Then we got a tour of the plant to see what was shown on the video. Boy the aroma of chocolate was in the air. YUM! Taste testing was at the finale and boy, lots of delicious tasty treats for kids and adults alike and the sweetness was perfect. They’ve even developed methods to incorporate vitamins into the candy. I can’t believe I managed to live here so many years without knowing we have a candy factory. Our family had a wonderful tour at Kimmie Candy Company. We toured with our kids (3 and 7). They enjoyed taste-testing their way through and getting to see the ins and outs of how the chocorocks are made. We toured late morning during Spring Break.
