Steve-O's Restaurant Republic — Restaurant in Republic

Unfortunate decline in the past year. We’ve ordered take-out several times now and each time is worse. Just a few items to note:

1. Seriously, no avocado on the avocado-bacon burger?? Tasted like salt instead of a burger, and now comes with fake cheese instead of real cheddar.
2. No ketchup, forks, or napkins in the bag, even after asking and receiving a response that it would be done?! You ought to try eating a salad, with dressing, without a fork, when you got it to go and don’t live there so weren’t going right home where we could use our own.
3. We were told our order was “almost ready”, would be brought to us if we’d pull around front. 20 minutes later we came in to inquire and it was on the counter, lukewarm.
4. Asked for a paper menu (the copy we have is ancient and prices have more than doubled since this one). Was told it was being worked on. Yeah, we’ve been hearing that for months. How long does it take?
5. With no printed menu, we asked if it was online and were told that it was. Well, if you can find one newer than 2018/19, please send me the link. The website link on the fb page is totally worthless.

So, that’s our “3 strikes, you’re out” story, because it’s been pretty much the same story each time we’ve visited and tried. It’s really sad, because Steve-O’s used to be...

Terrible service! The diner was closed so it was drive through only. I placed my order and was told to pull around and wait 10 minutes. After 25 minutes I went to the window to ask for a refund. I could see into the kitchen and see two people (woman & man - maybe spouses?) making pizzas and a young woman taking orders at the window. While two women were figuring out my refund the man said here's her food. It was apparent my order had been sitting on the counter and forgot about. (They were busy - This guy was obviously in a bad mood and I sensed his employees were tiptoeing around him.) He ordered to "give her a refund and her food". I said I didn't want the food, I just wanted my refund. He started to yell at me they were busy, and short staffed, and he was sorry I didn't have any patience for them. I made a comment about leaving a review and he said go ahead, tell us how we are doing, his name is Steve. After another 5 minutes of waiting for my money, I just left because I didn't want to take anymore of his verbal abuse. If Steve reads this, you are doing a terrible job. No wonder your employees don't show up. You can give my refund to the girl at the window. She deserves the money for working for a horrible...

Been a few times now and it gets worse each time. The last time today was so bad it felt intentional. I'm sure they'll make excuses like the other reviews which is pathetic, you're a business and all the excuses in the world don't matter. The staff mentioned to other patrons that were leaving after eating.....when they got there after us. That "it's not that busy for a Friday night".....so what's the excuse this time? enquiring minds would like to know? So we show up and get told not to order pizza because so many people already ordered pizza but then proceeded to let everyone else after us get pizza and even better is they got their pizza before we ever received our food or refills. My family is interracial and alternative and we were treated 2nd rate. Like I said it felt pretty intentional to us. No tip, since we basically got no service and the food wasn't good after sitting for over an hour. We absolutely will never spend a dime here again.
