The Hood Grind Coffee — Restaurant in Rialto

Hood Grind is where it’s at. This is literally the best coffee I’ve ever had. It’s the only coffee my husband will drink. When I place an order for myself, I have to order for my sisters and their families, too, so I don’t get yelled at. And everything, EVERYTHING on their menu is delicious. I usually order the same thing everywhere I go, and I do the same here. Except it’s basically turned into me ordering half the menu. 😅 I’ve worked them into my monthly budget cause it’s an absolute necessity to treat myself and my friends/family to this beautiful deliciousness as much as possible. And Alexis is an absolute gem. She is so kind, helpful, talented, and makes her customers feel like friends you’ve known forever. Where do I start? I was on maternity leave almost two years ago when I found THGC on Instagram while searching for a new coffee shop. I was greeted by this barista that treated me like she had known me for ever. I had ordered Pistachio, I remember. OH-EM-GEE!!! I made an order two weeks later. And it’s been history since then, lol. I got my direct family and extended family to order from her. We all love her coffee and other drinks. I don’t think I’ve been to a coffee shop that is consistent on the flavor of their drinks. Alexis is bomb! The flavors are always consistent and never ever disappoint. My favorite drinks are Southern Kiss, Orange I.E., Prickly Pear (tea), Golden tea, Lavender Oat Milk Latte and Pistachio to mention a few. Alexis, such a beautiful soul. She’s friendly, charismatic and remembers and knows her customers. She’s like family. All her drinks are awesome just like her. If you’re ever near downtown Rialto and in need of caffeine, I highly recommend stopping by. Their signature drinks are only iced, but that means they’re perfect for a hot day. Creative iced concoctions include the Nuez con Coco, the Mazapán and the Nala.

They have other flavored lattes that come hot or iced, I’ll update this review as I try more. There’s a great urban aesthetic to the atmosphere, and as an added bonus there’s a Marvel vs Capcom arcade machine! The service was very friendly.

I decided to try the Mazapán iced latte and add an extra shot, it did not disappoint. It’s a delectable drink with pieces of mazapán and flan caramel drizzle. It’s pretty sweet, so if you’re a fan of Starbucks coffee this is a much better Mexican-style alternative to the caramel macchiato.
