I want to be clear that I take no pleasure in being publicly critical of a Black business, and it is not my intention to be libelous, but rather to share my experience at Stacyās Bistro on Thursday, 4/17/25. This was my second time there and unfortunately, will be my last. Before I get to the bad, I will mention the good. Prior to my first visit, two friends of mine had been raving about the wings and atmosphere at Stacyās. I finally got a chance to visit with them, and I was very happy with my meal. I tried two flavors of wings and chicken tacos. The young lady that assisted us during this visit was very sweet. I looked on Facebook at the business page and her name is She She. Her kindness and customer service really helped to shape my first visit. Therefore, when one of these same friends wanted to bring in his birthday at Stacyās on 4/17, I was happy to return to celebrate but we didnāt get the chance to.
My friend and I arrived shortly after 10:30 pm. He immediately went to the bar to ask if the kitchen was closed, as that information is not listed anywhere and we understood it was late. I stayed back & observed. From the table, I could sense the less than sunny disposition of the young lady behind the bar when answering his question. Per Facebook, this young lady is named Tasha Mac. When he returned, he told me she said the kitchen was still open and gave him menus but was clearly off put by the interaction and asked me to place his order because she seemed annoyed and sometimes ātheyāre nicer to women.ā We went up to the bar to order. Another friend joined us as we were walking up, and we waited. We continued to wait and watched as other guests were served. Some were even served twice while we waited to be served. The bartender kept staring at us yet refused to acknowledge us. The energy was downright strange. I sensed she had a preference for certain male patrons and other guests that were familiar to her. One friend tried to get her attention and asked to place the order. She proceeded to roll her eyes. We werenāt acknowledged until we got the attention of another young lady who came from the kitchen and informed us that it had actually closed at 10:30 pm. We were upset as he had just asked Tasha. It was after 10:30 pm when he asked and she glanced at the time and still told him that it was open. Then blatantly ignored us and wasted our time. That friend walked out.
Two of us stayed behind in an attempt to gain clarity and for potential customer service recovery. Instead of being apologetic or even remotely gracious about the mistake, Tasha Mac was nasty and callous. She doubled down and told my friend, āYea that was my bad. But itās closed, so what you want me to do about it?ā in the most apathetic tone. This young lady who is plastered all over the Facebook page and tags Stacyās in multiple of her posts encouraging patrons to come see her was not at all inviting and clearly, the invitation is not an open one for all guests. This is bad for business. The wings were good, but they werenāt good enough to tolerate that kind of mistreatment. I work hard for my money, and I donāt spend where Iām disrespected. Iām not the most forgiving of that. I wonāt be back but thereās potential there and I truly do hope Stacyās will consider who they both promote and allow as being representative of the business and if they truly hold the best interest of the establishment and...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreIām really big on leaving honest google reviews. Thursdays are date nights for me and my boyfriend. Iāve been wanting to try Stacyās for a while now since itās not far from the house. Yesterday 6/26/2025 me and my boyfriend arrived at 9:30pm at Stacyās and ordered Chicken wings & Mozzarella sticks. When I say they were good they were good. The Mozzarella sticks were hand breaded tasted like home. They didnāt taste like they were out of a microwave or freezer they were fresh. Had the perfect crisp and perfect amount of seasoning. Same with the chicken wings. We sat at the bar even though there were booths open. It was hot outside and when I say it felt so good on the insideā¦. The music was loud enough to be heard but not loud to where we couldnāt hear each other, so I was happy about that. They usually have Karaoke on Thursdays the bartender said but yesterday they didnāt due to unforeseen circumstances of the person that does the karaoke, but I look forward to going back next Thursday and continuing the conversation I was having with Ms.Tasha. I saw a google review about her and honestly I was not there to see their experience but I can understand why they thought she was displeasing. Ms.Tasha has a resting ābā face naturally even when sheās smiling, but donāt let that face fool u if you she is sweet as pie & she is really funny. I do hope if you had a bad experience that you give them another chance because Stacyās definitely has potential to be the next great black owned business. Oh, I almost forgot.. THE DRINKS! Tasha snapped on all 3 of my Margaritas ( I asked for Teremana Anjeo & the flavors I had were grape, strawberry, and passion fruit )and my boyfriendās tequila sunrises. Very...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreWhere do I start.... Visited here because I wanted to support the neighborhood black business. Walked in the front door and it smelled like "dookie!" I noticed the bathrooms were right at the front door so maybe that was where the smell came from. I hope they understand that when you have restrooms at the front then you need to pay extra attention to the smell and avoid any "dookie" smell because who wants to eat after walking in to the smell of "dookie?" The waitress/bartender came over and she was cool. She brought us some really strong drinks in these tiny plastic cups. She recommended the wings. We "specifically" asked for our wings to have the sauce on the side of both orders. About 40 minutes later the lady from the kitchen comes out with our food and the sauce is on the wings and fries as if we didn't request it to be on the side only!! So that was a mood killer.
I ate some of the chicken and fries which tasted o.k but I didn't see what the hype was about. I honestly couldn't finish mine because it was extremely greasy & soggy. The waitress was nice and we did give her a tip even though we did not enjoy our food.
We did let her know the order was wrong but we just wanted to hurry up and go instead of waiting another 40 minutes for some new food. We left there and went to another restuarant.
If I could offer any advice. Make sure your bathrooms are clean and have those automatic air neutralizer machines that spray every 2-3 minutes. Nothing turns people off in a restaurant then having an unpleasant smell.
Why are you serving drinks in those small, plastic, outside barbeque cups?
I wish...
