This is by far the worst Tropical location. Every time I visit, the staff is rude and slow. I won’t be returning; I’d rather drive to Tinley Park for better customer service given how much I spend here. This time, I ordered a smoothie combo chicken bacon ranch with chipotle mayo—nothing complicated. The manager, ISES (however it’s spelled), spoke too fast and unclear, and seemed dismissive when she spelled things out for me.
At the window, she repeated my order quickly again and said she had rung me up for the chipotle mayo sandwich instead. I explained that wasn’t what I ordered, as I didn’t want pepper jack cheese and wanted bacon. She immediately slammed the window, cutting me off. She didn’t return, and another employee came to tell me my total without addressing my order. When I asked her to repeat it, she slammed the window and started laughing with the manager.
I asked what was so funny—I just wanted to confirm my order. One girl replied, "I don't know; I just make smoothies." What a joke. After 15 minutes, another worker opened the window, handed me my food, and slammed the window again. Throughout this time, no one apologized or asked if I had everything—just rude, young staff. I then waited an additional three minutes for my smoothie, only to be told to pull forward for it. They had forgotten to make it!
I went inside to get my smoothie because I didn’t trust the manager. When I walked in, she was sitting in the corner on her phone, looking unkempt and unsanitary. I asked if she was the manager, and she replied, “Yup, but I’m on break.” When I asked for her name, she responded loudly and quickly, “Yup, it’s ISESSES.” Just rude, with no respect or professionalism. Read moreI came in this evening to get a Greek yogurt bowl. After waiting in the line for over 15 minutes for the gentleman to say how can I help you I was told they were out. Now I ask for different items from here and they are always out and the drive is always so slow and we are blocked in. I asked the gentleman for corporate number bc maybe they don’t know that this location always runs out of items and can’t service the customers properly. The gentleman then stated ok but you have to talk to my manager. Two women came to the window very rude when I asked for corporates phone number. They never once apologized for the inconvenience of being stuck in line waiting and could never even receive the item I was there to get which happens at this location all the time which why this time I wanted to speak to corporate. They slammed the window of the drive in my face when I asked their names which my daughter has on video. I then pull over to the side to give the drive customers access to exit so that I can look up their corporate to leave feedback to be called. They then called the police to prove a point maybe. The police were the ones that apologized for my inconvenience and stated they hope corporate reaches out and handles the situation quickly. Read moreI wish i could give it more stars. I came in durning happy hour today. The guy who took my order was very pleasant. The heavy set lady that made my smoothies not so much. There was four other people before so i waited playing my game on my phone. While she passed out orders and told them to have a good day. I was the last of the batch of people that came in so the heavy set lady started making my smootie. She puts the ingredients in put the blender on the machine, the door and blends it She started cleaning up the area moving things around and there was a stack of it in the sink by this time my smoothie is done and I’m waiting for it to be put in a cup. I can see my smoothie is done. She looks over at my smoothie and sees that it’s done and then heads over to the sink to wash out a good amount of lids more than seven could’ve been 10 lids. She sat there and rinsed while my smoothie was still sitting on the blender after she finished with the lids and put them where they go. she grabbed the blender with my smoothie in it and blended it again, put it in a cup and handed it to me. I didn’t even have a good day. I don’t know what I did to this lady other than coming ti this establishment.
