Hubby told me to order dinner and he’d pick it up on his way home. I ordered 2 sandwiches. He said I also got a cookie and rootbeer. He gets home and we go out on the boat to eat. I opened the bags and it was the wrong order. It was 3 sandwiches, onion rings and cheese tots. Way too much food. We were already on the lake and it was the only food we had. We both ate a sandwich we didn’t want. I called them and they said we had to bring the food back to get a refund. They already knew a mistake had been made because the person with this order didn’t get theirs. Why do I have to come back in and drive all the way back to get a refund. I said I didn’t want a full refund as we ate 2 of the sandwiches. They wouldn’t budge. Had to have it before closing. Said the server told him what was in the order. I said I placed the order and he didn’t even know what I ordered. I said did you ask the name on the order? No. Why have a name on the order if you aren’t going to use it. So I ended up paying $61 instead of $35 after tip, didn’t get the sandwiches we wanted, and threw half of it away. At least a neighbor was out and he took the other sandwich so it didn’t get wasted but the...

This place is something you would pass without a second look when on the road. It would certainly be your loss. The food and service is great! The food will be out before you know it and might rival JJ’s. Lol

The streak sandwich was delicious, cheesy, and loaded with flavor. The bread was the softest bread and was perfect for the sandwich. I enjoyed the sandwich from the very first bit to the last. I didn’t have green peppers on mine but it can come with it. The ingredients that were on there (onions and mushrooms were fresh and plentiful. If you like cheese, you will love this one. The meat was tender and delicious.

The other sandwich is the pecan chicken salad with a drink. If you like chicken salad, this is the one. The ingredients are all fresh and the grapes and pecan really set everything off but after bite. The croissant was soft and had a slight sweetness to it. If I could have ate both, I would have!

The seating area is basic but accommodating. The tables and chairs are not the most up to date but I am not going there for the seating. The tables can easily accommodate a larger group or just one. You do feel comfortable while...

First, I'd like to preface the review with the following information - our order was accidentally given to another customer.

That being said, the staff worked very hard to correct the issue. They were kind, up front in letting us know the status of our order (we were waiting in the restaurant), while managing all of the other patrons as well. The lady that was helping us was wonderful. She genuinely looked upset, at making a mistake (it happens!!). Honestly, it took maybe an extra 15 minutes all said, which wasn't a big deal at all. I hope she was able to move on from it, as for lack of a better term s**t happens! We're all human! Also she insisted on giving us a couple free cheesecake slices (not necessary at all, but was a kind gesture!).

Overall the service there was great, the food was absolutely worth the wait and price. My parents live in Richland and love their pasties, however this time we tried their sandwiches. All of the food we picked was great, and we're excited to go back to try another selection!

If you're in the area, absolutely stop in for breakfast lunch or...

My fiancĂ© and I went here today and what a wonderful experience it was! The food itself was DELICIOUS, but the service and incredibly personal staff made it even better. Audrey made a point to come over to our table and ask us how our food was and get to know us! I was floored by how sweet she was, why doesn’t every place in the world have service like this?! Anyway-the food-I ordered the chicken cheese steak and added marinara (pictured), then my fiancĂ© and I split a side of cheddar broccoli soup (pictured) and shoe string fries with their amazing HOME-MADE RANCH (a midwesterners dream)
and every single bit of it was amazing! We were too happily full for dessert, but we will back to try one of the several they have (I have my heart set on the cookie with butter cream in the middle
or maybe the chocolate cake?!) Anyway, just go! There’s no way you’ll be disappointed. I promise U.P. North beats any other sandwich/sub shop in the area!!! It was the best dining experience we’ve had in a really long time.

It wasn’t too busy during my visit, but it was early. The staff was friendly, and the place was clean. I had the steak pasty combo which came with gravy and a drink. The pasty tasted great and was delicious with the gravy. The meat and the vegetables were chopped fairly finely, so it stuck together fairly well. It’s nice to see some good pasty restaurants this far south, and I hope they continue making great pasties.
