It's not every day a food establishment lodges itself into your soul. It was a last hurrah of the summer- my four friends and I - a road trip to our friend's house in New York. After a weekend of waterfall swims, guitar playing around the fire, and late nights at the local beer garden, the reality of returning to our different colleges set in on our drive home. Melancholy seems to always follow joy, as surely as thunder follows lightning. Driving back we stumbled across Eddie's, humble and welcoming to five strangers. Stepping in felt like we entered an episode of Twin Peaks, the restaurant homey and filled with locals. We gorged ourselves on gravy slathered roast beef, onion rings, and pancakes, eventually managing to stuff in the most heavenly apple crumble pie you can imagine. Our waitress was one of the sweetest girls we had ever met (who's name I wish I could remember to acknowledge her), leading us to tip more than we ever had for any service worker in the past. Eddie's ghost looked upon us as we stumbled out of the restaurant, stomachs full of hearty food and hearts intoxicated with joy. Driving home with the sunset dripping orange over the trees it didn't seem so bad that we may not see one another for quite some time. We'd meet again soon enough, and our time at Eddie's would be with us forever. If you have a melancholy in need of healing, give Eddie's a...

Went for breakfast this morning and it was not a good experience. I ordered eggs, toast, bacon and home fries. The other 2 who were with me ordered French toast with bacon and a side of 2 scrambled eggs. (Both ordered the same thing). She came back out with my eggs, toast and home fries and 1 order of the French toast, bacon and eggs. Completely forgot my bacon, and the whole other order for my son. Blamed it on the system. Never asked us for refills and if everything else was good. I ordered my eggs over easy and they came out not even close. I cut into the white and it oozed everywhere, my home fries weren't crispy or even close to being enjoyable. I didn't dare speak up about them because we ended up with the not so caring and not so friendly waitress. I believe her name is Anne. Brown hair, skinnier side and not very pleasant. I did enjoy my toast and my side of bacon when that finally came out. She did put the other order in and it took a bit for that to come out. Never did get the other order of scrambled eggs but got the bacon. 🤦‍♀️ this place is going down hill alot lately. McDonald's breakfast would have been better than ours this morning. Sadly, I think our trips to Eddie's have came to an end. Very disappointing, I've been going there ever since I was a...

Very good HOMECOOKED MEALS!!!!! I had the Liver & Onions Dinner. It was delicious! My husband had the Philly Cheesesteak Sandwich. He highly enjoyed his meal! He also had the Vegetable Beef soup. It was divinely delicious!! The soup had big pieces of beef, corn, celery, potatoes, green beans. 🥰. I absolutely LOVED THE LIVER & ONIONS, with mashed potatoes n brown gravy And macaroni salad. The liver was two long pieces. We left full and extremely happy to finally find an amazing restaurant with food like “Mom used to cook”!!!!! The waitress was wonderful and quick to refill our drinks. She was quite busy but still made her rounds to the busy tables. Fabulous customer service. Fabulous food. Fabulous RESTAURANT!!!!! If you want a good portion of great food, go to Eddie’s in Mansfield, Pennsylvania! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ So sorry my pictures don’t show the entire meal. I was starving and forgot to take pics before I gorged myself. When you gotta eat,...

One of the best little local diners I've ever been to. We were traveling and decided to stop in for breakfast and we're blown away by the care that goes into the menu and the food. The locals had the place packed full on a weekday(and it's a small town!) That says a lot in this economy. The only thing we were disappointed in, was that we didn't stop in the night before for dinner too lol. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone who likes home cooked food but doesn't want to home cook it. If you are ever in Williamsport or Mansfield, a stop at Eddie's is a must!
