I visited Alaina's Ale House for the first time as part of the #RIFoodFight Best Burger Throwdown. As a pulled in to the parking lot, I didn't know what to expect as it is attached to the golf course. However, I went in to a fully established sit down restaurant, catering to what appeared to be local patrons and not necessarily anyone directly off the links. My burger was cooked as I ordered it (medium) and had delicious high quality toppings ( as you can see in the picture). I skipped the fries but ordered desert - the skillet cookie was so good. It is definitely big enough for two. I did notice that a lot of other folx had ordered seafood so I am looking forward to returning to check it out!

Stopped in for lunch on a Tuesday. We were the only ones there when we arrived. It was a nice day so we sat outside. Really nice view of at least two holes on the golf course so you get food plus entertainment at no extra cost. The course looked beautiful, but the restaurant's outdoor space could use some love. More importantly, the wait staff was attentive, friendly, and excelled at their job. The food was really good as well. The Scotch Egg salad was not only unique, but absolutely delicious. We'll be back.

The food started out great until I started eating my salad. Then I had something hard and crunchy in my mouth, when I removed it I saw it was a large grasshopper. I was so disgusted I almost puked on the spot. No manager came to speak to me, no one but the kid who was our server said anything. They comped my burger and asked if I wanted anything else. I won’t ever go back, how does something like that end up in food? See picture below. So nasty.

★★★★☆

Alaina’s Ale House in Richmond, RI, delivers a reliably pleasant pub experience, with especially memorable service and a welcome escape from the summer heat.

The menu covers the usual pub classics—burgers, wings, sandwiches, and a handful of seasonal specials—and everything we tried hit the mark. While the food was more than adequate (no culinary fireworks, but perfectly serviceable and well-prepared. The Scotch Egg was a standout, the best I’ve ever had), it’s not what you’ll remember most.

Service here is truly exceptional. Our waitress went above and beyond, even gifting my sister a commemorative mug simply because her name is Alaina. It was a small gesture, but one that speaks volumes about the team’s attention to detail and genuine warmth.

And on an unbearably hot day, the ale house’s A/C was a lifesaver—crisp, cool air made for a comfortable meal from start to finish. All told, Alaina’s Ale House strikes a great balance of solid pub fare, standout hospitality, and a pleasant atmosphere—definitely worth a stop if you’re...

What can I say... a job well done. Your staff my god. They are amazing. Above and beyond. The cook was awesome sweating flipping burgers the guy was a champ. MVP. My daughter had the most amazing time. Her friends loved it. Our family loved it. 10/10. I've worked in the restaurant biz for geez I don't want to age myself but we will say over 20 years... and I was really taken by your staff. They have alot of heart and dedication to your establishment and you should be really proud and honored to have such hard working staff. They really made us feel special important and catered. Thank you and you're staff. I have me an over the moon 16 year old girl. I also had a professional photographer I will send some of the photos for advertising you can and have permission to use if you want to. I will be recommending Alainas in the future to friends and family. And our family looks forward to hosting future events there as well. Cheers And much thanks Kendra and Drew...

We went here for Valentine's Day and had a 5:30pm reservation. We got seated right away but took about 20 minutes before the waitress greeted us and provided us with menus. The staff was friendly and nice but it was quite slow. We put our son's order right away but it did not come out until after we finished our appetizers . We got the clams casino which was good and bacon wrapped scallops which were okay.

The kids' macaroni and cheese was okay but definitely needed salt and our 3-year-old son had trouble with the noodles since they were so large. The sirloin we ordered was requested to be medium rare and it was definitely overcooked but the mashed potatoes were good that came with it. The baked stuff shrimp were delicious! The lobster ravioli was good!

The chocolate cake was okay, a little dry but I felt the tiramisu was better. The beer list is okay. Overall, this place is a solid choice in Richmond. We would give them another try with their...
