If you find yourself lost in the rural wilderness and your GPS says, "You have arrived," don't panic—this taco place is worth the detour. I rolled in expecting to find a lone tumbleweed or maybe a cow offering directions, but instead, I stumbled upon a taco utopia!
First up, the pork tacos. Imagine if a pig won the lottery, went to culinary school, and then dedicated its life to perfecting the taco. That’s what you get here—succulent, juicy pork that makes you want to write poetry. Seriously, I started rhyming after the first bite. Something like, "Ode to the Pork Taco, you make my taste buds rock-o."
And then there's the braised beef taco. Let me tell you, this beef is so tender it could probably get its own reality show. I’m convinced they’ve hired a beef whisperer who sings lullabies to the cows before bedtime. Each bite is a tender love letter to your taste buds.
Now, let's taco 'bout the beans. Whether you’re team black beans or team refried, you’re in for a treat. The black beans are so flavorful they could probably win a cook-off blindfolded, and the refried beans? They're smoother than a politician at a county fair.
But alas, not everything was as perfect as my newfound taco-induced bliss. The "fire" taco sauce was more of a gentle spark. If you’re expecting to breathe fire like a dragon, you might be a tad disappointed. It was like a light tickle rather than a full-on blaze. But hey, that just means you can eat more tacos without spontaneously combusting!
In conclusion, this rural taco haven is a must-visit. Come for the pork and braised beef tacos that’ll make you weep tears of joy, stay for the beans that could make a grown man swoon, and maybe bring your own hot sauce if you’re looking to set your mouth on fire. Five stars, a standing ovation, and a recommendation to anyone with...
Read moreFirst time trying it. Was able to try the pork, braised beef, and chicken. All shredded items. Pork was a little too salty for my liking, but that's okay. Braised beef was moist and flavorful. Shredded chicken had the best flavor with a hint of heat. Got a bowl. Unfortunately, the rice was bland, the black beans were bland. The queso was good, chicken was good, Pico was good. The apple cucumber Pico stood out with hints of apple. Think they were granny Smith apples. Guac was tasty. Do not take this to go if you're going to be in a car for over 30 minutes. By the time i arrived at my destination, the bottom was starting to seep through the to go container, the lid didn't fit for some stranger reason. The bottom of the to go container wasn't plastic, it was a newer bio degradable kind. Not the best choice for burrito bowls. The buttermilk Cilantro ranch was the topping it needed. Place didn't include chips with meal. It was almost $15 for a bowl. It was an okay place overall. Girlfriend got the burrito. She enjoyed the burrito, only complain was the flavorless rice and dry, flavorless refried beans. I was sad to see it wasn't an authentic Mexican place as i was looking for some Al Pastor tacos or beef...
Read moreMoved to the area two and a half years ago, came to this place a couple times a week for a few months. Since then it has fallen off more and more to the point where it is incredibly over priced and overrated. My gf wanted to give it another shot after not going for a year, we were hoping it got back to what it was before whatever costs were cut that resulted in the lower quality. Almost twenty dollars for two breakfast sandwiches, bagels were not toasted I guess they were too busy, and still using the same microwave bacon they switched to a year or so ago. Just save your money and go down the road to Dunkin' its equal quality wise and way cheaper. Multiple places within minutes of Alaina's have better food and coffee. It's mind blowing to me that this place has 4.6 stars still. They should get a real manager in there as well, the employees are almost all young and seem disinterested even when interacting with customers.
tldr: The quality is comparable to dunkin with a far higher price tag. Worst breakfast sandwiches in the area.
Edit: Forgot to mention the coffee tastes watered down or something, I guess they had to cut costs there too. Still charging the highest prices in the...
