My dad and relatives are latin. To move to another country but only speak Spanish, menus only in spanish and treat non spanish people with a type of annoyed contempt is inacceptable. Imagine moving to another country open up and restaurant and the menu and speak is only in english. The sad irony is that can I read and communicate in Spanish but the utter disregard for non spanish people and not even attempt to speak in the native language and no menu in English? Their has been a explosion of restaurants and markets in the richmond area but thats it. Diversity? 90% Latin 6% Asian 4% american. I always enjoyed my trips down south to experience the culture the people and the food and was always treated well. Not all places are like this but 90% are.and they are fine with that. And its mostly places that are less than 3 years old. Want to experience what its like to be a stranger in a strange land in the comfort of your on neighborhood, just hit your...
Read moreI am from San Diego, California, and lived in New Mexico and Texas before moving here. I am not sure if this is Mexican because they have a variety of foods from South America. Plantains aren't usually in Mexican food.
I had the Desayuno Baliadas (three flour tacos with beans, cheese, egg, and plantains). It was good but very different and it may have been the plantains. Read moreHelp!! I am absolutely addicted to this place!😁
I really do feel like this place is our areas best kept little secret. And they start delivering before dawn!
Soup and tortillas for breakfast? Yes please! Pork chops for breakfast? Yes please!
I would keep coming back for the Desayuno Pupusas ALONE!! These things are heavenly! They're like little hand tossed, slightly dense, corn tortillas. Some of them made with fillings like cheese and beans. They're absolutely wonderful, and I'm convinced somebody's grandma is back in a kitchen somewhere making these every morning!😁
Their beef soup is HEAVENLY!! And is an amazing breakfast even though it's probably the last thing you would even think of ordering for breakfast. It's absolutely perfect. Warm, hearty, nourishing, satisfying, and a wonderful start to my day!
I can't recommend this restaurant highly...
