The parking lot is spacious, with tons of room all around the building. there's indoor and outdoor seating available. The interior is so amazing. The color schemes and windows made it very appealing and took that area and made it feel bigger on the inside.
Let's get to food and service. Ara is absolutely fantastic. She is very kind, patient, and a very lovely and charming person to be pampered by! She stayed a little late just to make sure we were taken care of! (She's so great!!)
I had ordered an ice tea, and I knew by how long it took out that it was going to be good. Listen, they boil and be their own tea! When she brought it out, i swear I teleported through time.. it was like i was a kid again drinking mom's "sun" tea. (In the yard on a hot summer day) It was. Amazing.
I've been obsessed with birria tacos. Usually, it comes with a consume sauce you can dip it in. As you can see in the picture, there's a sauce.. omg, it was citrus like and had a nice heat to it, and that birria taco was the best I've ever had. The best!!
The pupusas were amazing. Everything my boyfriend and I ordered was perfect. Then Miss Ara thought we were done, that lava cake and churros were calling to me. The lava cake was so so rich, I couldn't finish it! The churros we chose was the cream filled (i asked Miss Ara her favorite, and omg they were amazing!!)
Thank you so much, I loved this experience and I need to come by more, especially during...
Read moreI’ve been craving good Tex-mex since moving to Virginia years ago and this place absolutely delivers
I’ve been a few times in just the last few months and while some of the menu can be hit or miss at times the steak burrito, steak quesadilla and birrya tacos are always 10/10 delicious.
I love and appreciate that the menu is fully halal and wish the menu was a bit more clear about when it says “chicken” or “beef” whether that’s pulled meat or fajita style small pieces or ground meat etc etc as I really don’t enjoy ground chicken on a lot of these kinds of items compared to a fajita chicken burrito or taco. I wonder if it might help them to simply reduce the vast number of menu items and simplify prices as well and focus on the stuff they do really well, not sure if many people come to a taqueria for salad for example.
The birya beef and steak on almost any menu item is incredible! I hope the community supports them and they manage to stick around for a long long time because the food I like to order there is absolutely delicious even if I wish it was slightly more affordable just so I could eat there even more often!!
P.s. the churros are...
Read moreVisited on Friday, Aug 15 around 3 p.m. The server was very friendly, but that’s where the positives ended. The restaurant still smells strongly of cigarette smoke from when it was a bar called Patrick’s, which made the environment unpleasant.
We ordered pupusas (refried beans & cheese, and cheese only). Being from El Salvador, I was very much insulted for what we were served. The beans and cheese pupusas were greasy, orange in color, and had what I can describe as just a teaspoon of bean soup!?….— just a strange blended filling. The dough tasted old, unevenly cooked, and poorly made.
Our server kindly offered to remake them, but the food and overall smell of the place were enough for us to take everything to go and leave. Very disappointing experience — if you don’t know how to prepare a dish properly, it shouldn’t be...
