Been to this establishment twice. We love the pizza. We really enjoy the thin crispy crust as opposed to some places where the pizza is basically on a thick pile of dough. We also had the antipasto salad, that was pretty good. The first time we were there at the service was good. This second time we went after we sat down young man came up and asked us what we wanted to drink and came back with those. We were still looking at the menu so he said he'd be back in a minute. And there we sat. After about 20 minutes my irritation grew to the point where my husband got up and walked to the counter and placed our order. The young man never came back and we did not see him any where. Finally a lady came to the table..... I believe it was Sarah, one of the owners..... and spoke to us. She came over with a complimentary order of mozzarella sticks and apologized. And a bit later came over with our pizza. I'm not sure where the young man went or why he didn't come back but apparently it was some sort of miscommunication. Not holding it against them. It's a very nice family-run business and we're very happy to have found them. Most of the other area places that make pizza don't do it very well but this restaurant does it very well. For me personally it's an extra nice treat because I'm from New Jersey and we know our pizza and this is about as close as I can get in this area. Haven't tried any of the other food yet but we definitely plan on it. Looks like a great menu. Overall, this is a cozy, quiet, friendly, enjoyable establishment. We really like going here and fully support small businesses. Soooooo much better than driving all the way into Columbia in dealing with some of the insanity in those restaurants. No crowds and the food is really good, it doesn't get any better than that. Thanks to Sarah and Geo for servicing our community! You are...
Read moreWe were on our way home from vacation and were hungry for a late lunch. We found Sarah and Geo's online with excellent reviews, and prefer independent restaurants over chains, so we decided to stop in. We found a restaurant that was well deserving of their very high ratings, not only for the friendly and competent service, the impeccably clean facility and restrooms, but also for the delicious food with such a wide variety of choices. I would definitely recommend trying the fried portobello mushrooms which were indescribably delicious as well as the garlic knots which would have been right at home on a table at any fine dining establishment. We also enjoyed mozzarella sticks, an exceptionally good pizza with pepperoni and sausage, and my husband's favorite of all, a sausage calzone that was well filled with delicious sausage and cheese. We took half of it home and enjoyed leftover calzone and pizza for breakfast this morning. If you are anywhere in the area, I would highly recommend you plan for an excellent meal at Sarah and Geo's and make sure you bring your appetite. Even if you aren't in the area, it's worth trip to get there. Also make sure you get a pan of their cinnamon rolls to take home with you. I can guarantee they'll be the best you've ever had. My compliments to the owners and employees, for an exceptional...
Read moreWent here to meet a friend for lunch. Due to trying to limit the amount of gluten in my diet I asked for a hamburger steak and frys basket. They stated they do not do hamburger steaks but could make me a hamburger with no bun. Also, frys does not come with a hamburger. You have to order those separate. So I ordered a hamburger with no bun and a side order of fries. After tip it cost me $20 for a small piece of meat and a handful of fries. The quote" hamburger steak was tough and still pink in the middle. The food came in a small paper tray with the hamburger meat lane on half of the fries. Didn't have room to even add ketchup. Overall, if you want to spend a lot of money for a tough piece of meat? A small amount of fries. This is the place to go. Which is upsetting as I used to go here often but it's been 10 to 12 months since I've last been and...
