I was unsure about posting this. However looking back at the photos, Iâm disappointed. I ordered a cake for my birthday from Aliâs. It was a simple 6 inch vanilla and butter cream cake. We exchanged emails on the color and design of the cake. Again, it was a super simple design (at least I thought). I placed the order a little over 2 weeks prior to March 13th. The emails included a photo from Pinterest of what I wanted the cake to look like, along with the color (champagne instead of blue) and the number â24â written on top. On March 13 (planned pickup date), I waited 15-20 minutes for my cake. The girl came back sometime in between and states she was trying âto find a lid for my box.â I thought maybe they were busy considering there were a few people ahead of me completing their orders. When my cake was brought out to me, I could only see the top. I thought in my mind it looked peach and yellow instead of champagne. I also wasnât a fan of how the florals turned out. It was my mistake for not saying anything right there. I should have spoken up but didnât. I paid the remaining expense for my cake (I paid the deposit when I placed the order 2 weeks prior) and left. When I got home I immediately opened it to see an unfinished cake. The flowers looked like they were smeared on last second and werenât completed. Of course the color was wrong. It looked like a quick, unfinished, maybe last second job? The cake actually wasnât level from top to bottom. It sort of tapered out. (As seen in the photos). Again, I hate that I didnât say anything while at the bakery. I just expected better quality. I tried looking on the positive side and considered that Iâm just eating the cake. And the taste was wonderful. However if I was hosting a party, Iâd be extremely disappointed to have this sitting out. This was not a great display of a cake.
The photos included: what I received (white and peach colored cake) What I asked for- minus the âhappy b-dayâ (white...
Read moreOrdered a custom 6 inch strawberry cake with extra strawberry filling for my boyfriendâs birthday. The cake was delicious and SO reasonably priced!!! I didnât have to pay an arm and a leg for an amazing cake and Iâm so grateful for her extremely affordable pricing. I am extremely picky about my cakes when it comes to texture, bake, and the BUTTERCREAM ICING. Up until now, Publix bakery was the only bakery I would get cakes/cupcakes from since I couldnât find other bakeries that make buttercream similar to theirs.
Allyâs custom cake was so moist, rich, and the buttercream was heavenly!!!!! It didnât taste like an elevated version of pre-made buttercream (which is what other grocery storesâ and smaller bakeriesâ icing taste like), it tasted like a gourmet version of Publixâs icing and I loved it. The strawberry filling was sooooo good, I only wish there was more of it in the cake!! Iâve been feening for another taste of her delicious baking that Iâve already started inquiring about another custom cake for my anniversary in December.
I asked Ally to make a neon purple and turquoise cake that mimicked the blue and gold one and she did just that! One of the colors wasnât the right shade of purple (was a lavender instead of a neon purple) but it didnât even matter because the cake was so good. I unfortunately wasnât able to get a photo of front of the cake (forgot to snap a picture before the restaurant took the cake to slice and serve), but as you can see, my boyfriend and I enjoyed it very much. I canât wait to get another cake from her...
Read moreOh boy, where do I even start? I recently visited Ally's Bakery in Rincon, GA, and let me tell you, it was a life-changing experience! You know, I've never been one to gush over baked goods, but their Blueberry Lemon Scones have turned me into a full-blown sconevangelist!
First of all, the bakery itself is so welcoming and cozy. As soon as you step inside, you're greeted by the delightful aroma of freshly baked goodies, and the friendly staff treat you like family. I swear, I felt like I was walking into my grandma's kitchen â minus the cheek pinching, of course.
Now, on to the main event: the Blueberry Lemon Scones. Let me paint you a picture: imagine plump, juicy blueberries and zesty lemon notes, wrapped up in a heavenly, buttery pastry. Yeah, that's what these scones are made of. And the moment you take a bite, it's like your taste buds are being whisked away on a first-class trip to Flavortown!
But it's not just the taste that's incredible â the texture is perfection itself. You know how some scones can be a bit dry and crumbly? Not these bad boys. They're moist, tender, and just the right amount of flaky.
I've been raving about these scones to all my friends, and even incorporated them into my stand-up comedy routine. I tell the audience, "They say laughter is the best medicine, but have you tried Ally's Blueberry Lemon Scones? They'll cure what ails you â and that's no joke!"
So, if you're ever in Rincon, GA, do yourself a favor and stop by Ally's Bakery. Trust me â your taste buds...
