Mud Creek Chili & BBQ — Restaurant in Ringling

Had a family member that is a truck driver stop by this place and had planned on grabbing a bite to eat before he had to shut down for the night. Ran across the road to grab some ice and other items needed and then was going to grab a bite. The owner came out telling him this ain't a truck stop and treated him like garbage. If it were not for the truckers they would not even have meat to BBQ! This place is unfriendly and hostile to Truck Drivers. I respect these men and women they deal with so much. Is it really that bad to have a truck stop in to have a good meal and get some rest? After he told me what happened I had to let people know how this place...

The food was pretty good, nice portion sizes, and the ribs were falling off the bone. The guy working there was friendly and seemed to know the locals that were eating there all by name. I think the price was a little high but not so much that I wouldn't eat there again, but I'll definitely not make a habit of having a $20...

I got the 2 meat dinner with sliced brisket and polish sausage. Very generous portions. I ate about half of the meat and the potato salad. I still have a whole meal left with meat and beans.
