Went there for dinner last night for the first time and ordered the porterhouse steak for two which is what we always used to get a El Cid and Peter Lugers—- it was ok but it had some grizzle that you weren’t able to even cut through so a few pieces were totally inedible which was very surprising and disappointing ! The steak wasn’t as thick as our other steak houses we’ve been to, so it was a smaller portion which was fine and I thought would be reflected in the price. My issue is the price though !! OMG We were charged $180.00 for that steak which was absolutely insane—- Yes $180.00!! We don’t even pay that in the city! it was a special so there was no menu price and we didn’t even think to ask since we thought it would probably just be close to our other steak house prices, but man were we wrong— total RIP OFF for that steak — almost $200 for that— this is not a NYC steakhouse and the steak was just ok and did have grizzle— we were absolutely robbed- We also ordered fried calamari which was good but had little taste and were charged $25.00 for that which I also thought was very high and again a special so no price listed anywhere !
The service though was first class and the atmosphere was nice but do yourself a favor and don’t order that steak unless you want to royally get ripped off- and make sure you ask for the prices of their specials! OMG Wow

Read moreEverything about this fine dining experience was excellent. Upon entry the hostess was professional, inviting and warm. The dining room itself was impeccable, almost as if it were staged for a photo shoot. The waitress couldn't be more pleasant.
As for the food, the lump crab and shrimp cocktail appetizer was simply delicious - I'm no stranger to fine dining and the shrimp were the biggest I've ever seen and big, thick. The New England clam chowder was flavorful with plenty of actual clam. A palate cleanser was served in between courses. For my main entree, they prepared a custom Fra Diablo dish that was phenomenal - the other review that said it was "melt in your mouth" was not kidding. Two colleagues had that filet mignon at two different temperatures and each was perfectly cooked. I walked in here for a late lunch, little did I know I was about to have dinner which is the only reason that I skipped dessert.
Price is consistent with a premium fine dining experience and was worth every penny as everything was cooked and served to perfection. Great presentation for every course and the wait staff was top-notch. I really can't say enough about this place. If I want to be picayune, maybe the exterior building itself could be nicer as it is located in a strip mall but please do not let that deter you.
