Caro's Mexican Restaurant — Restaurant in Rio Grande City

Yesterday evening my family and I went to celebrate my mother's 63rd birthday. If I could rate this experience, it would be 0 stars!!! And let me say when it came to paying the tab, I noticed I was being charged an adult plate for a child who is 7 years old. How offensive is that! The male cashier goes on to say that he is not the owner nor was he the waiter but only charges. He had the worst customer service skills and was terribly rude. And then he goes on to tell me that he will be charging me for to go boxes which were not included in the tab and that this is a new policy. His response is "NIMODO!" I ask to speak to a manager and he says the manager left. He then replies, "NIMODO!" I tell him I am going to write a review online and he says, "Do It!" My jaw dropped to the floor. I feel so embarrassed for him. He definitely needs to customer service training! So here I am writing about this unacceptable experience. Visited RGC for the people but I had to get a taste of the oldest eats in town. Caro's keeps it classic but with the addition of the puffy taco. I got the enchiladas suizas with chicken (topped with mozzarella + salsa verde), rice and refried beans. My food came out in less than 20 minutes and I was with a rather large group (3+ tables). The rice did not disappoint and the beans were perfectly balance and not overly salty. My enchiladas were a pleasant change from the Tex-Mex I have grown accustomed to in Central Texas. I loaded my puffy tacos, served to me in quarters, with a bit of the rice, beans and enchiladas suizas for the perfect bite. I always get the same plate. This last time that I went the chicken breast was super dry I couldn't even eat it. I did let the waiter know. She didn't say anything. I told the lady that charged me and she said well no one has complained about it. So what was I doing 🤔. She also said she had it and it was dry and that they had changed the brand of chicken they used. So why not take it off go back to the old chicken ? Or do something about it?.
