Mr Pollo — Restaurant in Rio Grande City

Terrible, last time I'll eat there. All week I was craving the torta de asada from here. This time I decided to go in and eat during my lunch hour inside, (I had always gone through drive thru)

I ordered the tortas de carne asada, my wife ordered a plate of bistec. First off the owner which served us didn't bother to greet us. He just brought over the menu and just put them on the table and walked away. He never asked for what drinks we wanted, I had to get up and go tell him. He always had such an upset face the whole time. Never passed by our table, just rude period.

So he first brought the "pico de gallo" I'm assuming which was just watery smashed tomato, no salt in it, not onion, NOTHING about 95% was tomato water. (DO NOT TASTE IT) Then he brought over our food. The meat tasted like it had been frozen and unfrozen then refrozen and unfrozen again. And I had also ordered a "guacamole" appetizer, which, when brought was a tiny scoop of unsalted, unpeppered, avocado that was sold for 6 dollars.

Just typing this review make me gag, the same case was with my wife's food. By the end of it I paid 30 dollars for a torta, "guacamole", water, Mexican soda and a plate. I felt sick, ripped off, angry, and regretful for wasting my money there.

Never ever would...

Another first try without disappointment, cashier and service was excellent and food was worth the price, the taco were full of fajita and they were cooked to perfection. I didn't need to add anything to the meat. Beans were super delicious too with tons of flavor. I'm so glad I decided to stop...
