El Jaripeo Tacos — Restaurant in Rio Grande City

Leaving my 1 star review AGAIN because I noticed the first review was deleted I always order from this place Last time I called in an order of one parrillada for 2 people and asked the lady to please make sure the food was very well cooked as it’s always a bit undercooked or barely cooked She reassured me it would be cooked well Picked up the food and we were all eating and that’s when we noticed THIS The chicken was not only undercooked but it was RAW we had already eaten, all of us !! I called the lady back and she apologized saying she had a lot of orders and didn’t check the food!!! This is UNACCEPTABLE we all were sick for days after !! The entire plate was contaminated which is why it made me even angrier when she offered to give me another piece of chicken or half a pound of chicken for their mistake !! We had already eaten food that was mixed in with raw chicken and that’s all she could offer !!!! I will be reporting them to the health...

For the people who read my post about restaurants in my experiences at those restaurants I feel like they should know the truth, this one restaurant in particular has never stop surprising me with the great consistency of food and great staff whatever you order at this restaurant it's going to be absolutely delicious I've gone too many Taco stands all across America and this one restaurant in particular as I said it will never stop surprising you with great food. In my opinion this taco stand goes down on my top five in the whole entire United States for anyone visiting Rio Grande City Texas I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone who wants real Mexican authentic food don't be afraid to order whatever you want because like I said all their food is delicious and they will make it exactly how you want so please the next time you come to Rio Grande City make sure this one of your...

There was a dead fly on the table and several more buzzing around us as we were trying to eat. Really annoying, but since im mexican i was vigilant in swatting them with one of the spare styrofoam plates they gave me.

I ordered a fajita taco pirata and i don’t know what to say.

They were good 10+ years ago but today it was…dry, chewy, had no flavor and the cherry on top is that the tortilla was just completely falling apart.

I don’t know what it was in the taco that made it feel this way, but each bite felt like i was chewing a mouthful of cotton balls.
