Goshen Mercantile Taproom — Restaurant in River Bluff

A car show took us out to Goshen. Otherwise, we probably would not be out there. However, after visiting Goshen Mercantile taproom I wish we lived closer. This cute little spot is inspired from its origins. There are signs of the old post office in the interior as well as proximity to a little market next-door. I’ve never seen so many local beer options that are from Louisville in Lexington and all around the Commonwealth of Kentucky. The space is inviting and there’s so much attention paid to the history. One of the tables has all of the old bills and reminders of what was in the space previously under the glass. There’s ample tables that are perfect for you to find what would work for you. There was live music the day with that we went and the prices were very decent. there’s also food available with appetizers and pizzas which were delicious. This was such a low key vibe which invited you to stay as long as you wanted. There are board games available too if you’re so inclined. But if you make the trek out here, it’s worth...

We actually came out here for dean’s ice cream, but we heard the music and we were curious so we walked down to the taproom. Someone came out and said feel free to bring our ice cream inside, so we went in and listened to the music and then we ended up both getting a drink and sharing a pretzel and beer cheese. Pretzel was awesome, and so was the beer cheese, but they only give you a small cup of cheese, and I could’ve easily used two of those. We will...

Finally...Oldham county gets a taproom...have met many of the staff and owners... quality people who put service first...beers/drinks are all KY owned...food was solid...last time in on Sun they had a bbq food truck from Lagrange...very tasty...love the decor... reused several items from the old general store..give this...
