Albertaco’s Mexican Food — Restaurant in Riverside

I went in yesterday 4/21/24 I order food total was 68.31 so I was ready to pay and inserted my card when I did my wife asked me if she can get flan so I asked the girl at the register how much was the flan as I asked she grabbed the machine and turn it to her self i figured she was going to cancel it cause she saw we wanted to add more then she said oh sorry it charge already and I said it's OK I'll pay cash so I paid not attention to it when I got home I always look at the spending when I did it came out to 71.31 so she tipped her self 3 dollars the fact she was OK with tipping herself with my money is crazy that's stealing just be careful cause I cough it cause I always look at my bank statement if they did it to many I can't imagine how many people they don't it too I bet most don't notice cause she goes for the lowest amount so it wouldn't be so noticeable I would watch out if your ordering or especially drive through since you have to hand them your card they...

New spot that just opened up near downtown Riverside. They have a drive thru & dine in. Not sure of the hours but I hope it's 24 hours since there's nothing in the area that's good Mexican food open 24/7.

Couple issues right away...

1. Menu prices are very strange...they end in $13.42, $1.17, $7.63, and you get "4% Discount if you pay cash".
2. Customer service is non existent at the drive thru. No greeting.
3. They charge a $.50 fee to card transactions without telling you or having any signs posted.
4. Prices on the receipt dont match prices on the menu.
5. Found a avocado STICKER in my food.

Food was very good. VERY good. No issues there. Plenty of flavor. Sauces were good. Side of limes were fresh & juicy. Wish the meat was a little hotter. No biggie.

I hope they get it together very soon before it's too late. I really like Albertaco's and this is the closest location to me. I'll try a 2nd & 3rd chance, after that no more. Keeping my fingers crossed for...

As my husband and I were placing the order for 5 rolled tacos, the restaurant echoes so badly and its very loud. You can see the kitchen and those working in it clearly, which was nice, but a dude was handmixing pico de gallo with bare hands, no gloves and he was scraping it off his hands with his fingernails! I'm sure his hands were clean. But scraping the cilantro off his hands with his fingernails? Off putting for sure and it kinda grossed me out. Why not use a spoon or gloves? Anyways, we got the order and went home which is fairly close to the restaurant. The rolled tacos appear to be the pre-frozen type, and they were still really cold in the middle! The cheese ontop wasn't even melted. It's just generic pre-packaged shredded cheese mix, nothing special. It was pretty plain and disappointing for a "grand opening" service. Not sure what we expected, but it's not looking very promising. I hope...
